I am new to this forum, so if I mess up you know why. I disagree with this poster on thier feeling that Unions have crippled American Business for 40 years. Unions have helped the American worked for much longer than 40 years by providing above average wages, benefits and working conditions. The unions of America have provided this country with a powerful middle class, something that has been severely wounded in America. We need the unions as without them American business will ride slipshod over the American worker. If unions were in thier rightful power mode, there would be no American business leaving for cheaper labor sources. Unions are American, strongly American and are severely needed in the business cycles of today. Let’s hear it for the unionized workforce. Ya Hoo!
Obviously you don’t live in California where gov’t employee unions have a stranglehold over gov’t
The exact opposite is true.
How would a union prevent jobs going overseas? Drive their company out of business entirely?

I am a single senior, very liberal, a registered Democrat and very verbal through internet to elected state and U.S. representatives, letters to editor, etc, etc. I live at the 7000 foot level in the Wind River Mountains of Wyoming. I have been here much too long and would like to escape if I can find a willing person to help me. I really like California, especially Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego.
Take the blinders off buddy. Unions are driving the manufacturing migration to the third world.
In Chicago, the unions are trying to keep Walmart (and other “big box” stores) out of the city and have been partially successful robbing Chicago of thousands of jobs and millions of dollars of sales tax revenue
Obviously a product of the NEA Union.
And you'll be gone soon TROLL.
