First there was Salt Lake City, and now Virgian Tech. Trey Perkins, a 19 year old student who is now on fox News spewed his story about being in the same room as the gunman while he reloaded his weapons at least once. Did he get up and charge the gunman with reckless abandon to save his fellow students? NO
When the SLC shooting took place, the local news broadcast a cell video of the shooter discharging his weapons. While the owner of the cell phone stood there and filmed the shooter, who coincidently had his back to the camera, he did nothing. Cowards, bystanders, and wimps. I am ashamed and disgusted. Maybe it is my military training or having being in a war zone that makes me know I would take action or die trying.
I would not be jumping out of windows or filming a murderer in action, and I hope to God that whoever reads this would not either. Where are all the men?
One gun was a .22 caliber and who cares if he never ran dry???? Why do you stick up for nancies?
WVMM, you might try listening to (or reading) the witness statements about what transpired. I know I have.
Well, I’ve done it both ways, most times the shooting happened too quickly and besides I was confident that the shooter was only shooting the guys, or guy that he wanted to.
Once to protect a woman and child I did jump in and take the gun.
Here is a favorite video of when those guys jumped the shooter at the White House. It would be nice if someone posted a frame from it.

great video, thanks for posting.
My thoughts on this may upset some but these are my thoughts:
I am in a room and there is a shooter killing all those around me, no further thought needed. I am going to die if I just stand there, no further thought needed, put forth an action, surprise to the shooter is as the surprise of the shooting. He too might be off guard to such an action, to do nothing is to lie down as a dog, I can not heel to such. Just my thoughts.
You just reminded me that one of the next shootings will probably be in a school by terrorists.
If there was a chance to take out the shooter from behind or something, that should have been taken, but I don’t think that we can assume that it could be done. The murderer would just shoot anybody dead if they attempted to oppose him. Besides, the students were probably in complete shock by the attack and couldn’t think of anything to do. The professor who saved his students is an exceptional hero, but that is not often the rule in these horrors.
My kid is a senior in college now. I told him if this happens, grab a desk, chair or anything and rush the guy. Don’t die in a cower. My Marine training tells me I would rush him using whatever I had as a shield. If enough men had, he would have been overwhelmed. How many pens and pencils were in the room? Those are good weapons if you get close. What if they all started throwing books?
We need to teach those kids what to do in these situations.
A society full of power-hungry liberals and attention hungry conservatives, each willing to sell their souls for votes to whoever would finance their careers.
It is time to return to the days of citizen legislators, who eventually have to return home to live in the society they created.
Not just that we don’t care, but you hit the nail on the head. When we were growing up, if a bully pushed you, you pushed back or you got stomped. In today’s world the kids are taught never to fight back- it’s not NICE. Nice doesn’t cut it, and those of us who have stood up to bullies in the past will continue to do so, while those who have been punished for defending themselves will hesitate.
The “men” we have today will crown this cell phone videographer king for “the dood totally was awesome. Like he just stood there and filmed this dood shooting people and stuff, ya know. I mean he could have been shot standing there, like totally awesome.”
My bet is that Ace would have taken the guy out. But then, I raised a "stone" killer.
An early prophecy of Oprah? (Said only halfway jokingly)
I wasn’t disparaging gun ownership, merely pointing out that being unarmed in the face of an armed person doesn’t leave you out of the fight. Many people believe so much Hollywood crap about guns they have no idea how easy it can possibly be to fight back. There’s a good video on Youtube that shows a lawyer escaping death from a shooter by dodging his aim at point blank range. This demonstrates the point.
Back during WW2 in southern ID, my Dad used to shoot pheasants to and from school with his lever action Marlin .410 (which I still have). Days he didn't want to hunt, he rode his horse. Times were tough with grandpa gone, so it meant food on the table.
I would put my money on Ace any day. I am sure he would have kicked some a$$, whoever he is.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing. Sadly, no one attacked that assassin while he reloaded.
If our male kids aren't feminized after they experience nursery school, grammar school, high school, teacher brainwashing, mommy's clutches, daddy's PC effetism and granny's smothering and spoiling, it's a total miracle.
Attending four years in college like those riddled with lefty professors like that phony Indian, Ward Churchill, and The Mouth, Susan Ostrich, etal is the Left's last chance to brainwash America's kids. And they do it with a fury that is almost maniacal.
I think the males who don't go to college and who have been successful anyhow in business or the trades are the luckiest men alive.
Plus they're all MAN and a lot of fun to be around. They could watch my back anytime, LOL.
Have you ever been in a group of liberal "men" for any length of time? I have, many times.
Oooooh, my gawd!
Leni
But he did anyway. So you might as well fight back than live with the guilt and shame of doing nothing. I pity the men who survived this, but passed a chance to do something. They will never live it down in their own minds imho.
It’s a shame we all can’t be as brave as you.
