AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 2276) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | April 17, 2007 | All of Us

Posted on 04/17/2007 4:38:49 AM PDT by Chairman_December_19th_Society

As we settle into the nighttime of despair, fret not, for the Sun will rise again!!

Good morning!!

We, here, will never forget those who died on September 11, 2001, as we seek to protect the Republic from all who will do her harm!!

Today is the DemoncRAT high holy day.

Regarding Blacksburg, the sequence of events as they appear to be at the moment.

In the morning, an Asian man enters a domitory and starts a conversation with his girl friend. He believed his girl friend has been seeing another man. A quarrel ensued, and a resident advisor was called to sort things out.

Unknown to all, the asian man had entered the dormitory with two 9mm handguns; the Asian man produced a weapon, and shot both the girl and the advisor dead on the spot.

The shooter then calmly crossed the campus to the Burruss Hall classroom complex and entered the building. Conflicting reports exist as to whether the gunman then chained the doors, but they were chained from the inside which police describe as highly unusual.

It was at this point, the gunman, dressed in a maroon hat, leather jacket, black military-style shooting vest, and carrying an "inordinate amount of ammunition" started going classroom to classroom, shooting up each. In some instances, the gunman lined up folks before, essentially, executing them. The gunman would reload his 9mm weapons as he moved from room to room.

There were students who were so terrified they jumped from fourth floor windows. There were other instances where students held doors shut using their feet while butressed against other objects. In the end, some 32 people, both students and professors, were killed and at least 15 wounded before the gunman committed suicide as police closed in.

In the aftermath, calls for "gun control" have arisen anew, notwithstanding the striking down of the Washington, DC, gun control law by the Federal Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit. Let's not forget in this monumental tragedy, the gunman was not inclined to follow the law anyway.

In the Commonwealth, it is illegal to possess a firearm (police excepted) within 100 yards of a school, including colleges and universities. So what would another statute do? Answer, be ignored. But, again, the Federal courts have ruled such unconstitutional anyway.

It is a tragedy. Please respect and pray for the loved ones of the victims, and for those who are wounded.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

For the record, I believe in gun control--gun control means hitting the target. It also has nothing to do with yesterday.

Post your short news items, issues of interest, links, and so on. All who advance the Cause are welcome.

LET'S ROLL!!!

McCain Gain in GOP Poll

You're dead: I'm Healing Dennis Prager...heard the end of his show only yesterday, but he was angry, justifiably angry at a monster's actions.

All, we must be very careful not to fall into the "sick society" trap....

A sick society is not worth defending.

That is the hope of the Left: to promote sickness and then capitulation.

We must continue in our individual ways and together like here to promote goodness & virtue, and fight evil when it does show its face.

good morning all.

Poppyseed, first of all..profound love to you & yours as you stay near to mom. She knows you are there....and she will know you are there in the transition. I appreciate your willingness to share the news. It must be difficult to do.

Jemian/Guennie - thanks for checking into the possible memeorial “whatever” at Kay’s church - that is a most excellent idea & something that will continue after flowers fade.

But/OR

One other suggestion I offer to consider is that since her church is a supporter of Jem’s family work, perhaps a donation in her honor/name could be made there to the church to go “atop” the support already in place. Perhaps that donation can then be used for “something” of a physical nature that is needed on the field & her name/memorial can be placed on it.

As hideous as the mass murder was in scope & horror, one cannot helped but be touched more by the ones we know .

At the funeral I was at yesterday I had not heard about the shootings as of yet, but heard a few people talking about problems in Va.. well, big state & had no clue, Rove, Cheney, Pelosi, ????..

Molly get lots of rest, sounds like you have had a very full plate while fighting this thing off.

BTW what ever happened with your church & the problems with the homeless... if you shared here, I missed it(quite likely)

Redleg Duke.. you remain in my thoughts.

So many people going through very difficult chapters in their lives.

Busy next few days here & it looks like to day will be coolish & overcast but the big winds have left & no wet stuff falling from sky.

FRiends God Bless you all today & may your hearts soar with the opportunity that is yours in this day the Lord gave us all.

Nice thought steadfast friend.

As I sit here thinking about Kay and the VA Tech heartbreak, I can't help but think of what it would be like ot have tragedy strike home. One of the first places I would go is ATRW to tell my friends and to receive the warmth asnd comfort I was seeking.

How interesting to think, know, that I would go to people I have never seen in the physical sence.

There are too many to name individually, but know that I feel the connection ever so strongly today. Bless you and have a wonderful day today. As Toby says "doing whatever you want to do."

Excellent suggestion, Dolly, that our memorial for Kay be part of Jemian's mission work.

Count me in, however, for whatever type of memorial we give for Kay.

What seems surprising is, no one seems to know who the shooter is. Even though he was a student no one interviewed seems to remember him in a dorm or class. That is a little strange.

Good Morning Everyone. It is 59 degrees and the sky is overcast.

Please, everyone remember Kayak in your prayers. I understand she is ready to make her journey to the Lord's Place.

My problems are so minor compared to this.

That’s a nice idea. It would be a living tribute to kay.

I just read an article about William F. Buckley, Jr.'s wife, Pat, who recently died.

The article dealt with her LIFE, not her death and was IMO a tribute to her as a wife whose worth was "beyond rubies."

One quote I particularly loved: "She adored her husband."

Good morning. Though you don’t hear from me often, please include a ping to me on whatever tribute is decided upon in remembrance of kay. I agree that a lasting tribute, perhaps in the work in which Jemian and her family are engaged, would be most appropriate.

Some of you, as I, have had the distinct pleasure of spending time with kay and her husband Herb. They are a lovely, genuine Christian couple whose hearts are devoted to the Lord Jesus Christ.

We here on this thread, and FR in general, have had the wonderful privilege of having kayak in our virtual presence for many years. Her conduct and her testimony have truly been a blessing to me personally and to each of you. I know you all have deep compassion for the loss her family suffers... and we gladly sorrow with them and uphold them in prayer.

“BUT... I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them who are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also who sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not precede them who are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first; then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air; and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore, comfort one another with these words”. [1 Thessalonians 4:13-18]

Gunman in VT massacre identified as Cho Seung-Hui, a South Korean national and resident alien in the United States, who was a senior at Tech.

Good Morning. Last night as I was pondering my evening devotionals, the thought came to me that rather than flowers those of us who want to remember Kay could contribute to a memorial in her memory.

What a fantastic idea to designate our money to support the missonary work in Kay’s memory. Many, many thanks to whoever came up with that idea. Absolutely magnificent, and Kay approves, wholeheartedly.

It’s a lovely day here in the midwest today. I will be occupied with negative stuff most of the day, but I’ll lurk during meetings. Please identify WHO came up with the designated memorial suggestion. So I can thank them personally.

This is RIGHT in so many ways, and it will be easy enough for each of us to zip off a check/cash in a card with a notation that we are sending it on behalf of ATRW.

I believe that suggestion was made by Dolly, a bit further up in the thread.

Thinking of you in the circumstances in which you find yourself. Happy to know that you’ll soon be out of it, but thankful for the many years you have devoted to your efforts to steer things in the correct direction in Iowa.
