This entire post seems extremely selfish.
Clearly, he thought that his girlfriend was cheating on him. I also think that for whatever reason he thought that his professors and classmates were out to get him. It wouldn’t surprise me if the guy turns out to be an engineering student and that he shot up one of his classes. Perhaps he was doing poorly in school or felt a classmate was cheating him out of a fellowship, scholarship, honor, etc. In all likelihood, he’s a sick, demented individual who felt that the world was out to get him when it wasn’t. I do hope that this makes universities more careful about which foreign students they allow to attend their campuses. When American kids go overseas on study abroad, there’s lots of controls and safety valves because the university doesn’t want to be held liable. It seems that universities should be at least as interested about who they let in.

At one point he said he was told that the description of the person involved in the first shooting was *caucasian*, with ‘greasy/oily hair’ wearing a black jacket and driving a black truck-—while the perp from the other incident has been described as Chinese, an exchange student who arrived last August...what’s up with that?! [puzzled]

I want to know as much as anyone, but I want it to be correct rather than sooner. I have already seen a link to a webpage for an Asian or Asian-American who went to high school nearby. So that does not match the other information, ie being the US less than a year.
And the stereotypes about who goes into engineering has some validit, so probably some of the victims today were Asian-Americans or Asians. So that link I saw was probably someone posted a link calling a murder victim a mass murderer. I would think losing ones child would be enough pain for some poor parent today. The time it takes to be sure is not that much.

when I came home from work my roommate was watching the news and they had already identified the two shooters. this was about 6pm or 7pm. I even think they had pics of them.
