Well, Rush has a very good point in saying that the Clinton machine is out to get Rudy and not Obama. Rudy is a danger to them, and they have the help of the media, and some useful idiots on our side who are desperately trying to stop Rudy - the impact would be a victory for Hillary. However, it's up to the voters to stop this from happening, and frankly, I don't think Rush's scenario will happen, but it certainly could. In the end, it's up to the electorate to decide and I believe in that case, Rudy will beat Hillary.
We just have to stick together and not allow Hillary and her surrogates from the left and the malcontents from the right to discourage us. It's not about us personally, it's about America, it's about our troops, it's about Israel, it's about the war on terror, it's about our security and the future of our children.
Now, if you excuse me, I'm just going to mope around some more and pray for the victims and their relatives, and also pray that neither myself nor my students ever encounter such a violent situation.

It truly will mean the death of the republic if she rides into office on her broom already her attack machine is gearing up for the Hush Rush bill and Nancy will push it through because “children shouldn't’t be exposed to hate” leaving us the drive by’s asking those tough questions like “ being the smartest woman in the world what is your favorite color?” and “do feel sorry for the children because Bush starved them for his war for oil?”

Canada’s Prime Minister will be more Conservative than the POTUS if that beast gets elected.

Rush is giving us a huge wake-up call and wed better take heed and get our act together pronto.Too bad Rush didn't do that last year leading up to the Congressional elections. He spent most of the time telling us not be so negative and that everything would be fine.
To: chimera
On the opposition side, you can count on conservatives/Republicans to self destruct and eat their own. You see it happening already, some of it right here on FR, with statements like "I'll never vote for that blankety-blank RINO Rudy" ...That might have something to do with the fact that the Democrats seem to be getting everything they want in their two leading candidates, while conservatives are already having to make concessions with our top three.
Give us someone who is truly a conservative, and you won't see so much infighting.

Folks, see socal_parrot and post #21. Rush certainly doesn’t need me to defend him, if you want to call him he is perfectly capable of kicking your ass on his own.
Here is the entire transcript. Don’t fall into the trap of the Lame Stream Media by listening to a partial quote and running with it. They do that to him all the time and it pisses Rush off. You’re smarter than that. You’re here on FR. Read the whole thing for yourself and draw your own conclusions:

“He is probably weighing the current Republican candidates’ prospects.”
This will all change if Fred Thompson enters the race, as we all hope.

There is no fragmentation, basically, within the Dems. It does not really matter who their candidate is, what that candidate stands for, etc. They will vote without question, even if it was Joseph Stalin
You're forgetting something, aren't you? That's the fealty to the democratic platform of pro-gay, pro-abortion, pro-affirmative action, pro-illegal immigration, pro-big government, and pro-spending that all democratic candidates have to swear once they are elected. If the Republican party demanded such loyalty to the conservative cause by its candidates, you would see a lot more blind loyalty among conservatives As it stands, the RINOs are trying to co-opt most of the above listed isues.

I agree with you. Obama is a creation of the Clintons. (He wasn't a keynote speaker at the last Democrat Convention by chance.) With Clinton and Obama in the race, there appears to be a competition, so naturally money appears in order to fuel it. This sucks all of the oxygen out of the room for any other Dem candidate, leaving everything to Hillary once Obama's fade is managed.
Hillary's ultimate success, however, depends on American voters being fooled by a combination of money and the main-stream media.
Rush pegs this, quite reasonably, at 80% probability.

There is an 80% chance this was a statement meant to scare the bejeezus out of the faithful.
The truth is, pretty much every one hates her and is equally afraid of her no matter what title or ideology you apply to your self. It’s either going to be Obama, Edwards, or Richardson (not that any one of them would be an improvement, hell Edwards is Hillary with a vagina.)

Give us someone who is truly a conservative, and you won't see so much infighting. I think you probably would. You'll have people saying things like, oh, so-and-so is too conservative, I won't vote for him. OTOH, you get someone who is not a "true believer" in the minds of many, and they'll say, well, that stupid so-and-so, they're nothing but a RINO, I'll stay home this year to teach them a lesson. And so the country is handed over to Marxists and socialists among the 'Rats.
BTW, in my state, a moderate-conservative midwestern state (not a bastion of Northeast liberalism or a left coast state of leftist wackos), we ran a "true conservative" for Governor. He got clobbered, absolutely creamed, losing something like 60-40. You saw the same eat-their-own dynamic in play. Keep it up and we'll have a replay of that on the national level come 2008.

You’re assuming there will be free, honest elections.
To: mnehrling
RATS in all the state legislatures are already working on circumventing the constitution regarding the electoral college by trying to vote to give all that states' electoral votes to the candidate that wins the national majority of the votes.
They figure the two coasts will be able to get a majority for the RATS.

Rush has this forum on one of the screens most of his work day. He sees the division, and nasty tone of many here over some of the candidates. Many lurkers come here also from all over the web.
A few nasty Conservatives who post here, are giving all conservatives a very bad image to the general public. Being a Conservative these days has become VERY un-cool and few of the younger generations even dare admit it. (The few that are Conservative.) This is also one of the most politically active young age groups in our nation’s history.
WE ARE TRULY IN TROUBLE! Rush has it right.
