As we settle into the nighttime of despair, fret not, for the Sun will rise again!!
Good morning!!
We, here, will never forget those who died on September 11, 2001, as we seek to protect the Republic from all who will do her harm!!
MSNBC has dropped Imus in response to his comments about a black woman's basketball team. A Pennsylvania DJ was fired for merely repeating what Imus had said.
The UN wants to use New York city police in peacekeeping missions--primarily to train other localities police forces.
Fred Thompson, who is said to be considering running for President, disclosed he has lymphoma, which is currently in remission.
India test fired a missile capable of carrying a nuclear warhead to anywhere in Asia.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
Imus is not conservative, but there are hints and references the past days which indicate that! Infuriating....it’s the old conservative/Republican = racist lie.
IDOL watching is good for our health...none of the usual political talk.
I NEVER read Pat Buchanan columns...well, until today's.
He and Brent Bozell each have some very good comments re the selective outrage of Imus. Their columns can be found at townhall.com along w/many other good ones today.
Yes. I agree whole heartedly. I just don't understand why DeLay thinks he's been appointed King, making him the one to call the shots. Arrogance and supposed self importance is an extremely ugly personality trait, but one we encounter often in politics. I'm quite tired of it all, and am glad to know I'm approaching the end of the tunnel.
Thanks, Cmom. I never read Pat B., either, but upon your recommendation, I will.
Off to see the twins this morning.
See y’all later......
Confession time: I LOVE potato chips. The only way I can avoid them is to resist the urge to buy a package of them. I failed that urge this week and crunched my way through too many. (Slap, slap. Should I “apologize” to myself? LOL)
They won't get him on racism. They will get him on decency. Remember when I was upset about the "man having sex with a horse" story?
He had better watch it. He was on sort of bragging yesterday about how he knew they were after him and he was prepared. Pride goeth before a fall.
And did you see Wolfowitz got a girlfriend a job with the world Bank, and is now being asked to resign?
Garden season can't come soon enough for me.
Media Matters CEO is David Brock. Google his name and see if ANYthing he has to say is credible. I think not.
Amen.
I tell you, I am just exhausted from all the mental and emotional gymnastics associated with the libs brow beating us. I can barely stand to listen to the news.
It is just so very, very wrong to send this great country down the path the Dems are sending us.
Good morning. I turned FNC on this morning and they were talking about Imus so I turned the television right off. There are so many more important topics in the world.
Hugs back at you, ML and I do hope you feel better today.
We want a full report if you decide to go, Utah Girl. It’s good to “see” you; our hours are so different that we never talk.
It's interesting to read some of the follow up from Rosie and Joy Behar. Rosie must be feeling some heat with her defending of Imus' "free speech" and even Joy Behar briefly noted Jackson's hymietown remarks.
BEHAR: Jesse Jackson, don't you remember his "hymietown" remarks?
That, you know, hes not innocent either on this topic. So, you know, lets not be so hypocritical about all this.
Additionally at least one sponsor has stopped buying View airtime at this point and another has removed Rosie's picture from their website.
First, the Janome website has removed the picture of Rosie holding the sewing machine from their main page. They must have realized that the woman is poison.
And "Contact Us" links on the View were present for everybody...but Rosie. Presumable because her mailbox was getting hammered.
Additional sponsors are being added to the list on the Rosie-boycott site and even WalMart hasn't been spared. I intend to contact them in a minute.
The Rosie-boycott site I'm referring to is Fallingpanda.com
Lastly, about boycotts. It may not be feasible to actually boycott certain manufacturers or advertisers products simply due to their immense size, such as Proctor & Gamble, but it is VERY possible to express displeasure with them and avoid buying some. And I disagree with Sean Hannity that boycotts shouldn't be used. Boycotts or expressing displeasure with advertisers, is the free market in action. Advertisers need to be held to account like anybody else.
Ok, I'm off to check out what Delay is saying and contact WalMart.
Criminey, that chicken plate must be full of mayo. Wow.
I recently started checking websites for food info as well and it’s a great tool.
I’ve lost about 20lbs so far. Would like to lose another 7 or so but all these “end of the season” parties and potlucks have made it difficult.
And I’m getting sloppy with counting points, so maybe you can slap me back into line, MM??
I agree with what you write about boycotts, prairie. It’s clear and accurate. Another thing: such actions are not to be confused with censorship. This word is used indiscrimitately when it should apply only to government action.
FNF had a student on who started a petition to stop Rosie from her rants. The site is www.STOPROSIENOW.com I believe.
Gov. Corizine was majorly injured i nthat crash. They are looking for the van that caused the accident. It was a hit and run, it was reported.
Thanks, I’ll check that out
They had to give him 7 units of blood before the operation.
BTW he did not have on his seat belt.
As to cause, I have been on that part of the Parkway, and it is a total mess. To get off at the nearest exit from where the accident occurred (milepost 43, you have enter the left lane going about 65, and then you have to slow down to get off the Parkway (from the left lane) Whoever designed it, deserves some major time in purgatory.
