On Military Night, Gonzalez's ninth-inning hit caps Padres' winning rally

SAN DIEGO ---- Frustrated by a fifth-inning fly ball that he thought he had hit out of the ballpark, Adrian Gonzalez delivered in the clutch Saturday night, doubling home Jose Cruz Jr. in the ninth inning to give the Padres a come-from-behind 3-2 win over the Colorado Rockies before 40,504 at Petco Park.

The victory on the team's Military Opening Night with the players wearing camouflage jerseys, snapped a two-game Padres losing streak.

they do it every year, but it’s great to see at least one sports team salute our service men and women.
