G; Tonight, my special guest is Danna Romney, wife of Senator Romney and daughter-in-law of former President, Mitt Romney. You may remember her as Dannielynn, daughter of the late Anna Nicole Smith and Larry Birkhead, producer of the long running documentary on the National Geographic Channel, “How Global Warming is a Farce”.

G; Danna - first of all, we watched you as an infant whose custody and paternity were challenged after the death of your mother. Your father, Larry and Grandmother Virgie, kept you out of the public eye, for over 20 years, by enrolling you in exclusive schools and surrounding you with family members and social privacy.
Could you tell us what your childhood was like, following the publicity that enveloped your infancy?
D: My childhood was relatively normal, I traveled abroad, participated in Texas rodeos, played all sports in school, kept good grades and had lots of cousins and friends who shared their lives and love with me. I did experience some medical and developmental challenges for which I received extensive therapeutic care. My two grandmothers and father were very strict - I could not date until I was 18. I attended college , at BYU which is where I met my husband and , as a result of my own pre-natal and post-natal medical experiences, pursued a degree in pediatric medicine at Johns Hopkins University.
G; Do you have any thoughts you would like to share on what you have learned about your mother, Anna Nicole Smith?
D; No. I would like only to use this opportunity to caution parents that unborn children have rights, just as all other citizens. My husband is proposing a bill which will allow family members and friends to intervene in the prenatal care of all women whose drug-addictive behavior (and those who enable them) may threaten their lives and the life of the unborn. I was fortunate to have a very loving family with the courage and the resources to correct the abuses of the legal and medical professional(s) who were complicit in causing my medical and developmental problems as a fetus and as an infant.
G; Thank you Danna. We are aware that several “professionals” were sanctioned and are still in prison as a result of their actions in the deaths of your mother and brother. Has this knowledge been a burden to you?
D; It has.
