Thread Number 3
Annie’s Song probably is the best. But i love “Country Roads (West Virginia)”,”Thank God I’m a Country Boy” and “Grandma’s Feather Bed” too.
Oh don’t get me started on the Carpenters! They were awesome. Her voice was almost unparalleled. What a terrible loss that was.
“threadjacking”? LOL!
When there’s nothing much going on this is how we bide our time...aren’t you having fun????...
Incredible voice and very sad to lose such a talented singer.
Can you tell me WTH Su Su Sudio is about?
Oooh Oooh. What about Van Morrison? Do you like him?
I’m having a blast...as you guys are naming people I’m on youtube finding videos...I had to listen to some Elton..I was compelled....lol
ohh yes...I love Moondance. Michael Buble does a good cover but it just lacks something the original has.
Does “Annie’s Song” count as an Anna tie in, ya think?
Maybe it’s a stretch....
I have no idea..but I loved that song. I remember buying the cassette when it came out. He had a really good song Easy Love with the guy from Earth, Wind, and Fire another one of my favorites. Phillip something..Bailey I think.
You might find this article interesting, "When a Trial Isn't a Trial". It can be found here: http://factweb.net/CATrialUpdates.html
This article gives a different opinion and says Pierce Marshall never interfered with his father's affair with ANS.
This is from the article:
She said it in her own words. Anna Nicole Smith, who now claims she is owed still more money from her late husband, told a different story shortly before he died. Appearing on the Howard Stern Show, Smith admitted she was not going to inherit anything when the late J. Howard Marshall died. Ive got to fend for myself, Smith told the talk show host after admitting she had not signed a pre-nuptial agreement.
Smith said she was getting nothing. In fact, the alleged promise Smith claims her late husband made to her did not come up until 10 months after his death.
Are you set for life? Stern asked.
I wish I was, said Smith.
I have no background in law, and I can't vouch for the validity of this article, but I did find it an interesting read.
LOL..I think so..I’m sure HKS sang that to her every night..
Just to tease you more about “The Last Waltz”, Van Morrison performed on it. I forget what he sang. Wasn’t Moondance. Wasn’t Brown eyed girl.....
Eric Clapton performed on it, Neil Young, Muddy Waters, many many other biggies. I’m tellin ya to go get it tomorrow. Have you got a used record store around? You should have no trouble finding the DVD there.
Neil Young is another one I like. I love Heart of Gold. I don’t have any of his stuff but I do have a Crosby, Still, Nash, and sometimes Y CD. It’s a good listen.
The song “Daniel” makes me cry every time, as does “Cat’s in the Cradle” (don’t know who sings that one tho). Carrie Underwoods “Don’t forget to Remember Me” makes me cry as does “Believe” by Brooks and Dunn. And of course (drumroll please....) “I Hope You Dance”
And any movie where an animal dies.
Oh, Easy Lover! Yeah. Good one.
Heart of Gold is Great. Hey do you like Credence Clearwater Revival? Love that good ole Louisiana Cajun sound (from that California boy).
LOLing so hard! Friggin hilarious!
Harry Chapin does Cat in the Cradle. His wife wrote a poem before their son was born and after he was born Harry wrote the music and used her poem for the song.
Hey Kit, Carolyn,
Where’d you go? You’re not getting all uppity and serious on us now are you? Come on...John Denver...Elvis....Elton...
