Good I have the Encore package. I will have to check it out. They are pretty good about rotating their movies. I go through music phases. Few years ago I was in my Doors phase, then my Beatles phase, then Macca by himself and with Wings, then my Styx phase, Led Zeppelin phase..etc. I’m cheap I would get the Best of CDs but now I just download or just look up videos on Youtube. I’ve been watching Chicago and Elton John videos all night. I’m in a 70’s love song mood...lol.

I haven’t seen it. I know he goes and gets guitar lessons from him. I hear it’s a really good movie though even with Ralph Macchio...heheh.

I go through music phases.

Me too. It kind of evolves. I never lose interest in any of it tho. For instance about 5 years ago i got into bluegrass, that evolved into old hillbilly music, Irish music, classic country, blues. I'm trying to gain an appreciation for jazz...

I've always liked Motown from way back. Loved the Temptations, The Commodores (don't know if they're motown), The Spinners.

Just all music except RAP (K-RAP Krap FM) and Reggae.

I don’t think Ralph Macchio was in the one i’m thinking of.

Didn’t HKS say in Florida court that he signed checks on Anna’s account? Wish I knew where a transcript was.

Here’s another recommendation that you might not have seen. It’s called “The Last Waltz”. It’s a Scorcese documentary of the final concert of “The Band”. It’s absoANNAlutely awesome.

“The Band” in case you don’t know (cuz you seem kinda young) was Bob Dylans backup band for awhile.

I like some of Bob Marley. I’ve got a Best of CD of his. I love Redemption Song. Alot of people have done covers. My favorite cover is Joe Strummer from the Clash. His version is pretty cool. Marley is pretty good. His rastafarian creeps in and if you listen to his song in a way they are spiritual(even though I not buy what he’s selling). I did some research a while back and it’s kind of weird how they think Haile Sellaise was/is God Incarnate.

The only rap I like is older non violent stuff. Rap has really just gone downhill. I remember when Deborah Harry and Blondie did Rapture with that Rap Bridge. I remember Kool Moe Dee and then it just seemed it went buckwild when Public Enemy and N.W.A got into the mix. As for country I like some country songs..even have a Shania Twain CD and a Patsy Cline cassette from years ago. My favorite song by her is Back in Baby’s Arms ohhhh and Walking after midnight...ahhh that brings back memories.

LOL...yup I’m glad you told me who they were or I would have had to looked them up. I don’t know much about Dylan. Heard some of his songs but I’m more familiar with his cute son from the Wallflowers...lol.

He did seem happy in that video. He also seemed pretty cognizant. I can see her loving him maybe as a father or grandfather and he did take care of her. Did he help her with her career or did she go out and make it on her own?

I didn't know he had a cute son on the Wallflowers. Will look that up definitely.

I used to hate Bob Dylans voice, but appreciate it now. Really think it's an acquired taste. My daughter who is 18 now, sang in the church choir for awhile and she told me that it is actually hard to sing the way Bob Dylan does. I think she's right. He makes it sound easy, she says, but it's not.

He looks a litte haggard in this pic but he's cute. He's got a pretty decent voice. Nothing special or distinct like his dad but still a good voice.

So you're not as young as you sound then...

Have you noticed how a lot of the newer bands are starting to go back to the basics. There just don't seem to be too many good songs being written these days. So they go and cover some oldies. Which is great.

Will listen to the Clash version of Redemption Song right now.

I’ll be 38 in August. It brings back memories because I had this serious crush on a coworker while I was in college and I would play it and imagine I was singing it to him..LOL.

Sorry I’ve been busy today and I’m getting sleepy.

If you want to try listening to some jazz, get this cd—It is wonderful and I had never been interested in jaz before I got this one.
Trust me.

Not too bad looking. I see the resemblance to his dad. Good thing he didn’t get the nose. But he’s got those eyes that are just so deep and i can’t find the word. They draw you in.

BTW, just listened to Redemption Song with Joe Strummer and I hear a Bob Dylan influence there. Real good song.

And Elvis too. He predicted he’d die at age 42 just like his mother did, remember?
