The
leftist authoritarian mindset (sic) is: everything not commanded is forbidden.
Fixed it for you. The right is no more liberty-friendly than the left. It's just different freedoms.

I asked him if it was 110 volts or 220 volts, and he said YES. And Osama is alive or dead somewhere! ;-P
At least he could answer the question correctly!!! LOL

Granted, you can occasionally find rightists of various flavours who are virtually indistinguishable from totalitarian leftists. The latter, however, outnumber the former by several orders of magnitude. Such rightists are really quite scarce; you'd have a good deal of difficulty naming any at all, perhaps barring the French idiot LePen.
Hitler, as you'll doubtless recall, was a socialist (viz. his address at the Nazi party convention on 1 May 1927, et al.). The original ''left'' vs. ''right'' distinction was coined by the German communists, as a means of distinguishing them from the National Socialists. As demonstrated on this and any number of other occasions, the left cannot stand competition in its own ranks. This accounts for Hitler's vicious suppression of the communists after his ascension to power -- and, please note, Hitler went after the communists first, well before the Jews and gypsies and other groups.
If you want to substitute 'totalitarian' for 'leftist', be my guest. However, 'authoritarian' is just another word which has been appropriated and abused by the academic left, and as such, is useless for descriptive purposes.

All cinder blocks must be registered, and engraved with a serial number.
You can’t buy more than one cinder block per month, there is a five-day waiting period to buy a cinder block, and you cannot buy a cinder block unless you are a convicted felon.

Red stripe = used to be an airfield there. Who knew?
But where were the fuel tanks and waste dumps?

Telling would spoil the surprise for the homeowners.

So if my car dies in my buddy's driveway, I have to push it home before fixing it?
---
Two choices: he can buy the car, or you can buy the house.
Your call.

Not nearly as useless as fascist. The right/left dichotomy has outlived its usefulness, too. Better a line stretched between liberty and totalitarian when evaluating the effects of political ideologies.
