I understand. But if you follow my argument, NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO, you will effectively be voting for one of them.

If you do anything but vote R, you will effectively be voting D.

So either you decide which it will be, R or D, or you delude yourself into believing you have a third option, in which case you will be voting for the D.

That is why I fervently hope Mr. Thompson throws his hat in the ring. I want to have someone to vote for.

Your arguments are not persuasive. By nominating a liberal to the Republican ticket, the GOP is abandoning me and does not deserve my support. In effect, the Republican party will shoot itself in the foot, and that is not my fault, but a fault of both the RNC and the country as a whole moving to the left.

I want no part of it, and reject the blame that is being laid at my feet when that blame lies at the feet of those who run the RNC, IMO.

When given the choice of liberal A and liberal B, I choose none of the above as either being elected makes no difference to me.
