My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Hello from a sunny East coast day, all is well, thanks.
How goes it for you, cobwebs blown away, coffee brewed?

Cobwebs and jet lag essentially gone. On my second cup of coffee. Fingers, eyes and brain apparently in sync. So old SOL is out today. Is all of the snow gone?

Yep, all the snow is gone in my backyard anyway. Temps going into the 50s, now that's a WOO HOO! I think it's going to be a strange weather year. Sure glad I don't live in Tornado Alley, sheesh, that's scary.

So, you're having a heat wave, a tropical heat wave..... Tornadoes are scary but if you have your red shoes on it is apparently okay.

Let poets piece prismatic words, Give me the jewelled joy of birds!
What ecstasy moves them to sing? Is it the lyric glee of Spring, The dewy rapture of the rose? Is it the worship born in those Who are of Nature's self a part, The adoration of the heart?
Is it the mating mood in them That makes each crystal note a gem? Oh mocking bird and nightingale, Oh mavis, lark and robin - hail! Tell me what perfect passion glows In your inspired arpeggios?
A thrush is thrilling as I write Its obligato of delight; And in its fervour, as in mine, I fathom tenderness divine, And pity those of earthy ear Who cannot hear . . . who cannot hear.
Let poets pattern pretty words: For lovely largesse - bless you, Birds!

A day at the beach would be grand
however, the weather makes for warmer digs
a furnace blasting out the heat
with a luncheon sandwich of cold meat!
LOL
