My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

It is getting there but i'm still in the fuzzy thinking/logic stage. Coffee is working slowly today, it must have jet lag as well. My arms are beginning to get some feeling back from all of the flapping from Arizona to California.

Yes, Waylon Jennings let me ride it. ;)

Feeling cruddly today. Something about not being able to stay awake. A little bit better today.
How's by you?

I'm doing okay and have been really busy yesterday and today both, I need a break now.
I made some delicious chicken breasts, baked them with salt, course ground pepper, Parmesan Cheese and Bread crumbs on the top, some dots of butter, yummy.
Also, baked another loaf of Banana Nut, Date bread.

I don't have the real silly one of a pancake on the bunnies head.

That's delicious cooking! Bet the house smells good, too.
It's beautiful outdoors, 55 with pure sun. Winds are beginning to turn and it'll start cooling fast for a 10 degree cooler day tomorrow.

Oh it does and tastes good too. ;)
It's much cooler here today, I had to turn the furnace on to take the chill out of the house, even though I had run the oven for several hours.
It's has been a lovely day bright sun shine. I did a lot of dusting and clean of my numerous knick knacks in the kitchen. I have lots of chickens and roosters-they are really nothing more than dust collectors, but I like the gay colors and shapes. My next hard job is clean the Chandler over the kitchen table. It's stained glass in white and light pink tones. So pretty when it's clean.

Wow, that's so true, remember we touched on that theme the last time I was in Taiwan. One's disposition determines so much!
It's also often the path of least resistance, if one makes a concerted effort to change it!

Good evening, starbase.
Helps keep us be responsible for our own actions and reactions.
To: Soaring Feather
Yes it does. I was just listening to my growing Missa Johnouchi collection. Very nice stuff.
Well my time is winding down here. My flight leaves Friday afternoon. I've promised to sell this rebuild computer back to the tech shop (remember I'm trading it for a cool digital camera).
So I guess I'll have to dismantle it tomorrow morning and take it back. I guess it's back to radio silence for me.
That, actually, is making me more nostalgic than the question of living in the US or in Taiwan, the fact that I have to give up my private access PC until I get my new phone line in Taiwan! It takes usually two months, sometimes more, so I won't be posting much in the rest of the spring!

Thanks I love her music too.
Oh, Friday you leave! WOW! We shall miss you and look forward to your visits once again. I know you will take some great pictures with the camera so it's a good trade.
Gonna be tough for you for a while not having private access to the web. I suspect you will make good use of the time.

I was looking at the August 27, 2006 Thread XXX-that's the one you posted the first installment of photos. This year we have them all in one place for quick access. It was so good of you to contribute to the Lair with the travel log of your adventures.
To: Soaring Feather
Yes, I'm going to pick up a little MP3 player, and play, guess what? My Lair Music!
Plus there are speeches and songs and what not available to download to my little memory card, which I can then take home and play on the MP3 player.
So maybe I'll pop in briefly from an Internet cafe over the next couple months.
And due to visa needs (first you apply for the visa in Taiwan, then you must leave the country), I'll go to Thailand once more for a couple days. I'll go on some of the cheesy tours and snap lots of pictures!
Oh guess what? Part of my plan was to do manual labor jobs until I finished my certifications (called MCSD), and I also applied to the local transportation company to drive a bus part time. But when they, plus those two little placement chicks, all gave me the cold shoulder (for these grubby little jobs! I'm still in shock), that's when I felt most frustrated. But just yesterday the bus company called for me to come take the driving test. Took three weeks for that! Then I must do an interview, then check references.
I laughed, and even thought about staying, but it's just part time, and that's spreading myself too thin. I can finish the tests in Taiwan, and make a profit each month at the same time. In fact, I probably should have done that anyway, but I was a bit stressed and sick of Taiwan at the time.
Who knows, I might return in as little as 10 months. I can finish the MCSD, then job hunt from Taiwan. Those certs. are so impressive I might even get everything set up before I return.
Or maybe I'll stay in Taiwan for the next 5 years, you never know.

Well, as I mention above, I'll also be going to Thailand at least once more. There are even famous places around Taiwan I've never gone to. That might be good for fun and pictures.
In fact, mainland Chinese come over all the time and take tours on Taiwan (plus they're probably spies anyway!)
And if I'm really, really lucky, I might pack a trip to Japan in there somewhere. Of course I might have to hit the lottery before I think too seriously of that!
