Little about this article surprises me. Though the number here is excessive, the practice is more common I believe.

You are right, and I am pinging to this thread, as it discusses a real and serious case. Who will commit to marriage, if they can lose their home and savings in a settlement like this?

A more serious issue than those creepy "virgin daughter weddings ..."
