Flap Over Jersey Schools Regulating Student Behavior 24-7
Millennium Radio New Jersey ^ | Thursday, March 22, 2007 | David Matthau

Posted on 03/22/2007 2:49:21 AM PDT by Calpernia

Is Big Brother coming to a school near you?

Last month the Pequannock school board made national headlines when it began to randomly administer a new high-tech test - that determines whether a student consumed any alcohol in the previous 4 days.

A few days ago, the Moorestown school board approved a tough new drug and alcohol policy that regulates student behavior 24-7 - even on weekends and over the summer.

Some parents are voicing outrage at what's happening, but Mike Yaple, a spokesman with the New Jersey School Boards Association says there is a State regulation that addresses this very issue- that indicates "schools do have the right to impose a consequence on a student for conduct away from school grounds - it goes on to say that it has to be reasonably necessary for the physical or emotional safety of the student, or other students or staff."

He says "you're seeing a change in attitudes- the absolute realization that drugs ruin lives- and school officials aren't going to turn the other way if kids are doing drugs."

After being contacted by Millennium Radio News for comment, Deborah Jacobs, the Executive Director of the American Civil Liberties Union of New Jersey issued a written statement saying "The desire to protect young people from the dangers of drug abuse is understandable, but what kids do over the weekend is their parents' business. The school district is overstepping its authority with a punitive policy that disregards family privacy and parental authority."

Parents have now been declared 'stakeholders' via this National Education Policy.

American Heritage Dictionary:
Stakeholder - One who has a share or an interest, as in an enterprise.

By that definition, the whole world is a "stakeholder" in my child's upbringing.

The solution is obvious. All students should have a tracking chip emplanted in safely their bodies. The information provided by the chip will empower stakeholders, who, as result, will ave a more meaningful dialog to enhance school health, mental health, and safety programs. The chip gathered information will likewise act an an equalizer for the disadvantaged school district, which labors with insufficient resources to provide a comprehensive and multifaceted continuum of interventions.

"School Safety Technologies" grant is the funding the NJ schools took for tracking chip technology.

Presentation on T-PASS (Teacher-Parent Authorization Security System)

Since we parents are now 'stakeholders' with the schools having input in the children's wellness and safety outside of school and in. Do we get to say no?

He says "you're seeing a change in attitudes- the absolute realization that self determination and parental authority are Not Acceptable- and school officials aren't going to turn the other way if kids aren't being directly supervised by the Government schools 24 hours a day 7 days a week, 365 days a year."

there, fixed it for him. Now it's truthful

I understand what you are saying regarding 'stakeholder". For me the word stakeholder is cold and calculating. Geoge Bush invited "stakeholders" to meeting when the Amish children were muirdered this past year. It was totally wrong to use such a cold word describing parents, friends, aunts, uncles, sisters, brothers, ect.

Post 17 sounds more than cold and calculating. Stakeholder is defined. Then couple that with the original article about the school being responsible for behavior 24/7.

I became familiar with stakeholder under NAIS first. 'Premise owners' have to report animal movement as their stakeholders to the entities responsible for them, USDA.

Think about that. If the NEA is now responsble for the children and we are their stakeholders, doesn't the NEA have to know their movements too?

The grant funding came from the same top entity,

These are strange times when you find yourself actually agreeing with the ACLU on something.

You have posted some good articles. We are definitely in the Nano state, social state, and narco state. It is ironic that both leaders of the nano state were both users in the narco state. We are already in the NWO and it is cold and calculating. The NGOs are happy with the UN.

No.You are being too rational. The stakeholders don't have the personal interest of a parent, friend, aunt, uncle ect. This is what we are coming to as a nation. It looks good on paper but doesn't mean a d@mn.

Parents are considered stakeholders. Along with communities and resources. The NEA is passing down the rules through the schools. The schools will be assigning agents to liaison to the students, the Health and Safety agents.

Our school is already assigned one. We are a private school too.

This is the time for you to stand up and be counted. Tell them you will not answer to them if they call you a cold, calculating name such as sstakeholder. Explain this in such a nice way that you make the school officials sound impersonal. Do this in front of the whole PTA. I'll bet you get support from the parents.

Speaking up isn't the issue. I know how to do that. What I want back is the full rights of my children.

Did your state take the grant funding too?

They want to take over 24/7 when they can't handle the short 8 hours a day in school. This has to be a joke. Plus, they have a test to see who drank four days before? WTF? This is why we have such an alcohol problem in the United States. Keep something away from people and when they finally are able to consume alcohol they go crazy. This does not happen in Europe. They grow up with alcohol and have very few problems.

I already know about Bracewell and Guiliani. Google bracewell, giuliani lobby texas schools.

http://www.tpj.org/page_view.jsp?pageid=934&pubid=697

Bracewell and Giuliani are the biggest lobbiest in the Texas education system. They actually have more influence than the TEA. You know they are crooked when they have more influence than the teachers union.
