Is that what the kids are calling it nowadays?
Unfortunately -- and I hate to ruin the fun of the thread here -- Jewish women also have very high rates of breast cancer. Ashkenazic Jews (from Central/Eastern Europe), anyway.
We're kind of a genetically messed up bunch. High rates of colon, ovarian cancers too. Shows what all that inbreeding does to you.
Having had a mother who died of breast cancer, I'd be very reluctant to push implants on those who are high risk.
Nice--we can say that what you did was a dork job!
Many Jewish (and non-Jewish as well) women have the BRCA abnormalities in their genes and it gives them a VERY high risk of early breast cancer. Some women who are positive for this gene have their breast tissue removed and have implants done. I work with a half-Jewish woman in her mid-thirties who did exactly that. In some of these high risk BRCA gene types, ovarian cancer goes with breast. I hope you had the genetic testing done.
Nice!
