The firm used to be called Bracewell and Patterson. Dating back to 1945, it is a well connected Houston based law firm with oil and gas related companies and financial institutions as its major clients. Rudolph Giuliani joined the firm as a partner in 2005, at which time it changed its name to Bracewell and Giuliani.
