For some reason I can see you and others, walking by a little fellows and rubbing their head, GI's have always been like this you know. give a little candy to the shy little ones, rub their heads and with a big ole smile....

Tobe, somehow, and I could be wrong about this, I cannot envision JT "rubbing their heads." That is so very wrong over here. You absolutely do not do that under any temptation no matter what. It's been engrained in him since he was just a wee tyke. I know where you're coming from and he hands out candy (he told me), but the other, I don't think so. Not cultural.
Something to put into the memorable metaphor file: the sun began to sink like a giant egg yolk on the horizon.
And with that, after fighting a battle to a draw with some malicious viruses, I am going to bed. It's only 1:30 AM.
