As we settle into the nighttime of despair, fret not, for the Sun will rise again!!
Good morning!!
We, here, will never forget those who died on September 11, 2001, as we seek to protect the Republic from all who will do her harm!!
A late-season winter storm caused havoc and numerous flight cancellations along the Atlantic seaboard. In Washington, snow totals were generally between 1 and 3 inches, but this approaches (though doesn's surpass) records for this late in Winter. Where's Algore?
Not in Boston, anyhow--but nevertheless, as activists were preparing to start a globull awareness walk, mother nature intervened with a powerful snowstorm.
Iran has stated it will not bow to international pressure to stop its atomic development efforts. Iran's President stated the UN has no legitimacy to force it to stop--at the same time asking the UN to protect Iran's right to proceed.
And, lysie, thanks for getting us going yesterday--I arrived safely home yesterday afternoon, just before the ice started ramping up locally.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
Hillary's ripe for mocking, but so are all the Dems...let's see how she takes it....
Bennett just played the Fred Thompson quote about Iraq..pacifism...supporting our troops. Thompson may well find a deep well of support among conservatives if he keeps up this message.
The most chilling thing I've ever heard Mrs. Bill Clinton say was "We are going to take things from you for the Common Good."
I'm very concerned these internet ads are going to bring on serious consequences in the area of Campaign Reform.
Internet ads are an inexpensive way for a low budget campaign to get their message out to the masses. So I'm worried about these really destructive messages going out without acknowledging who actually paid for the ads. Most anyone with computer savy can establish a website and claim to be the source, yet who really knows whs's behind it.
I anticipate there will be some legal restrictions on these ads soon. Probably sooner, since it's Hillary they're going after.
And that's too bad. Because there are good candidates out there, with low budgets, who aren't ever going to get off the launch pad because of new restrictions on internet advertising.
If people would just use common sense, it would be helpful.
(Who ever dreamed they'd see me come this close to defending Hillary?)
I wonder how ads effect people, me? I make up my mind and that is that.
And if you're saying this, that it may be a back-door entry into controlling the internet...I share your concern.
That's exactly what I was saying.
THEY want control. This will give them a reason to take it.
I don't get the Apple logo tie-in but it's been on a few of these YouTube ads. You've made good points about campaign finance reform.
Personally, I'd like to see 6 mos. campaigns with weekly debates and a more level playing field financially, but that would mean government paid campaigns and some candidates just shouldn't be taxpayer financed (Carol Mosley Braun, Dennis Kusichinich, etc.)
Going to Ala tomorrow, D & SIL wants to go shopping......I don't want to go, believe me.
