Find a partner or grab your favorite beverage & listen to some Irish tunes .A couple of wave files - full-length, lilting, Irish melodies - they are so beautiful! I hope you can open them, or "save target as" to your hard drive and listen to them later.
"My Wild Irish Rose" ~ John Gary "I'll Take You Home Again, Kathleen" ~ John Gary
MIDIS
"Irish Lullabye" "The Last Rose of Summer" "When Irish Eyes are Smiling" "I'll Take You Home Again, Kathleen" "Danny Boy"
Why Saint Patrick's Day?
Saint Patrick's Day has come to be associated with everything Irish: anything green and gold, shamrocks and luck. Most importantly, to those who celebrate its intended meaning, St. Patrick's Day is a traditional day for spiritual renewal and offering prayers for missionaries worldwide.
So, why is it celebrated on March 17th? One theory is that that is the day that St. Patrick died. Since the holiday began in Ireland, it is believed that as the Irish spread out around the world, they took with them their history and celebrations. The biggest observance of all is, of course, in Ireland. With the exception of restaurants and pubs, almost all businesses close on March 17th. Being a religious holiday as well, many Irish attend mass, where March 17th is the traditional day for offering prayers for missionaries worldwide before the serious celebrating begins.
In American cities with a large Irish population, St. Patrick's Day is a very big deal. Big cities and small towns alike celebrate with parades, "wearing of the green," music and songs, Irish food and drink, and activities for kids such as crafts, coloring and games. Some communities even go so far as to dye rivers or streams green!

I think she is a sweet one.. will have all the boy snakes in the Bill Household "interested" no doubt.
I know there are a lot of people with deep fear of snakes & like a lot of other things in life, we fear what we dont know & understand.
I have had friends who sleep with their snakes like I sleep with my cats & dogs. The snakes liked it & the people liked it.

Josy is limping so I must check out her foot...
I was dismayed (like so many Pet lovers) re: the pet food. Funny thing with Cali. I have always given her middle of price wise on cat food. With her recent illness I have bought the tiny cans of more expensive food to temp her & she has eaten well.. I checked a few of the remaining cans & DRAT.. they are on the list.. of IAMS problematic food. I have given here the fancy feast, Iams & the others & she has responded. Wonder how much backwasrd the other food has placed her BUT it was not the only food on her diet. I rotated many of the "good" small cans w/ people food....chicken, ham, etc..

Hey y'all! I just got back a little while ago. The excitement of the rally was taken off my mind by the excitement of my nephew being born today! :) The rally was great. We had a big turnout and people were from EVERYWHERE. I got a ride with two Vietnam vets. I got to hear all their war stories on the way up to DC. They're really great guys. :)
My ankle hurt but I survived. I would do it all over again.

I left my camera cord at school so the GOE pictures will have to wait until I get back. I can post the pictures of Dylan as soon as my stupid e-mail account gets the pictures. It's being slow...

I stopped using a cord years ago. I find the card readers are great. travel with them & can use them on any computer. My current computer has built in card readers for about 8 media type.

Lol no, actually they didn't. My mom saw my Gathering of Eagles sweatshirt and was confused because it says "Defend the Wall" on it. She had no idea what wall it was referring to. She still doesn't really know how big it was.
