This guy's definitely an idiot for not including artists as hugely talented as Chaka Khan or Pat Benatar! What is this cat smoking?! My goodness, Benatar alone was instrumental in bringing women center stage in the Rock genre during the eighties. Weren't 'Hit Me With Your Best Shot' and 'Heartbreaker' two of Ms. Benatar's biggest hits? And what about Chaka Khan's cover of Prince's 'I Feel For You' and 'Through The Fire'? You also have to look at her work with the Soul/Funk band Rufus: 'Tell Me Something Good', 'Sweet Thing', and 'Ain't Nobody'.
Simply crazy.

Love Is A Battlefield was just on VH1 Classic...we were just talking about her not being in it when the video was on...funny you mention her. I just saw her last year...voice is as great as ever...ditto the looks.

Pat Benatar did a "Crossroads" show on CMT with Martina McBride. That was ONE GREAT show. They did each others songs and at times, it was hard to tell who was singing. They complimented each other musically. And Pat could easily pass for Martina's older sister. The resemblance was amazing.
