One of my daughters has been having some troubles with some harassement by guys she knows. Always asking for dates and not taking no for an answer. These particular fellows call her cell phone constantly. So, she asked me if I could help her and I told her perhaps a direct message on her voice mail would do the trick. This is what we came up with, and it has addressed the issue. I share it with anyone who may have a similar concern. Click on the following link and then select to download it to your computer where you can listen to it with whatever music player you use (Media Player, iTunes, etc.). It is a 2Mb .wav file.

It is relaly wierd because it is working fine for me here in Idaho.
Yeah, turned all volumes all the way up and could (barely) make it out.
Sorry Jeff, I can't get a response from either of the links you posted. Can't get to your website either.
jeffhead.com is down.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooo...
Most things still work better in Idaho and the other Western Free States than they do elsehere. I had the opportunity to look at the election map of the 2004 Governor's race (the ones where the uber-liberal county which Seattle is in 'found' 700 votes in time for the third recount to win the election for their lady lawyer/leader). I was pleasantly surprised to see that the Republican won all counties excpet a few around Puget Sound. Unfortunatly there are a lot of socialists crammed into their little collectivist hive.
Still can't get it. I really want to hear these creeps getting their asses kicked on voicemail, though.
Hello, you've reached my daughter's voice mail. She can't come to the phone at the moment, but if you are a young lady, please leave your name, your number, and a short message and my daughter will get back to you just as soon as she possibly can.
If you are a young man...or a fella, well, before you speak to my daughter, you're going to have to speak to me. And that means you are going to get the opportunity to take a look at my gun collection. I always like that part of the conversation.
So, if you'll leave your name and your number, I'll be getting back to you...soon.
Have a great day...and if you are a young lady or a young man with the right intentions, may God bless you.
But if you are a young man with the wrong intentions, then may God have mercy on you, because I wont.
See my post 27 for a transcript. Sorry it is not working. It's working fine for some...others, not at all.
Well--I'm on a Mac--I don't right-click!
Years ago, a young man honked his horn for my daughter to come out for a date.
Instead, he got me.
I walked out to the car, opened the passenger door and sat down. I said "here is how it works, you ring my door bell, I let you in. I ask where you are going, and what time you will be bringing my daughter home. IF I APPROVE your plans, she can go out on her date with you. By the way, I am a reasonable man. If there is a good reason to stay beyond her curfew, we can talk about it."
I only had to do that once. Word got around, and the boys knew that blowing the horn was not acceptable.
.....Bob
BTW, though on a PC, I use iTunes (video iPod, 30 gig). Love it.
That by itself will do nothing, but if she ever has to use deadly force it will be part of the record.
This particular daughter is now well out of school and works over in a different town now and these guys are at her work. They seem to be getting the message now.
This message is doing the trick. I believe they know...and I know my daughter knows...that I mean it.
What a great message! ;-D
Thanks...it is addressing the particular situation and my daughter tells me, who knows? She may just keep it for the forseeable future. hehehe.
By law though if you tell a person not to call you and they continue to do so they can be in some serious legal problems. Most phone books have a section on annoyance or harassing phone calls.
LOL! My sons would probably love the gun collection.
I hear they're gentlemen with the ladies, too.
Jeff, that trascript is GREAT! I'm pretty sure it's going to eliminate those who do not have good intentions.
