Hashimotos can run in the family..mostly thru women. Hypothyroidism is so underdiagnosed. I ran borline low on the Thyroid panel until I took the Thyroid antibody level..it was thru the roof. My body was attacking my thyroid. I think I first developed it after I gave birth. the Docs kept tellign me I was in "normal" range so no meds. Until the TA test!

Exactly! Why won't doctors tied to HMO's demand that test for their patients? It took indigent insurance to get that test.

Thank God you finally got the correct test. Thyroid medication can do wonders :)
