Thanks for the update; still two more questions:

What time does the inquest review start today?

Why didn’t Mr. DNA expert show up?

Re: the DNA, if this was known yesterday, why all the speculation that the DNA results would be released then? I feel like a yo-yo.

Have you noticed how Anna is described - based on the bias needed - as: ‘IN CHARGE and runs the show’ Greta even described her as ‘smart and knowing what she wants’.

There seems to have been a period during which Anna took advice and help from Virgie - then became more drugged, less independent and plain goofy.

When exactly did HK$ decide he had to control her personally in order to maintain his focus on the Marshall millions - or lose his nest egg? There had to be a defining moment for Howie - he had to determine how to isolate, brainwash and keep Anna dependent on his lawyer/management skills. He accepted all the “one-night stands” except for Mark Hatten and Larry Birkhead - the two most likely candidates for motherhood and marriage.

Those possibility of marriage would have ended HK$’ standing so he removed the competition very effectively. ISOLATION, DRUGS, KE, DRUGS, KE.

One of Howard K Stern's lawyers (yes the one that dropped the Sternmeister's dna appeal request) and also nephew to the Bahamian Chief Magistrate Gomez (who is presiding over the paternity case).

Not only should Allyson Maynard Gibson resign as Attorney General of The Bahamas, but prominent attorney Damian Gomez told the Journal on Tuesday that she should retire from politics because she has misled the public.

Judiciary “In Meltdown”

By Quincy Parker Not only should Allyson Maynard Gibson resign as Attorney General of The Bahamas, but prominent attorney Damian Gomez told the Journal on Tuesday that she should retire from politics because she has misled the public. Mr. Gomez also said the judiciary is in "meltdown".

He said his call for the attorney general’s resignation was a matter of principle, not politics. He said he had no axe to grind either way, and that he was not seeking political office.

Mrs. Maynard Gibson did not return a telephone call up to press time on Tuesday.

Mr. Gomez spoke with the Journal on the porch of the Supreme Court, where he has taken over as lead counsel for Howard K. Stern in the custody battle over Anna Nicole Smith’s daughter Dannielynn Hope Stern.

Justice John Lyons, the senior commercial judge on the Supreme Court bench, delivered two bombshell rulings, beginning with a decision on November 6, 2006, in which he found that the government had twice broken the law by not appointing an independent commission to review judges’ remuneration as mandated by law, thus compromising the independence of the judiciary.

Since those rulings, the government has appointed a commission, which has reported, and whose recommendations – in the main – have been accepted. It is understood that it is for that reason the government has withdrawn the appeal, as it sees the matter as a dead issue.

But as Mr. Gomez sees it, the issue is not dead.

He noted the attorney general suggested in the House of Assembly that the judge had misled the public on the whole issue involving the appointment of the commission to assess whether there ought to be increases in judges’ salaries.

"That was widely publicized, and the judge felt concern for his private safety as a result of it, understandably so. It now turns out that in her appeal, she accepts every single fact that he has said as being true," he said, "and now has withdrawn the appeal on the points of law, and must be made to face the consequences of that."

Mr. Gomez indicated that he did not expect Mrs. Maynard Gibson to actually resign, noting that he does not "expect much" from her.

The lawyer recently rejected an appointment to the Supreme Court bench, and told the Journal on Tuesday that he had done so because he "will not take money that is not lawfully owed to (him)…If it were coming from a private person, it would be called a bribe."

"I feel very strongly about it. No doubt Dame Joan Sawyer (president of the Court of Appeal) feels as strongly about it, and Justice Lyons also feels very strongly about it. There are other judges who feel strongly about it, and they have remained silent because the convention requires them not to make public statements," Mr. Gomez said.

He said the judges could not be the arbiters of their own independence, and that ultimately the issue would be required to be resolved in the Privy Council.

"I would have thought that in the public interest that the appeal would have been pursued. If it were dismissed then the attorney general would be free to appeal to the Privy Council and we would have had a definitive ruling on this issue which would have cleared up this question once and for all," Mr. Gomez said.

"But for political reasons, on the eve of an election, they have adopted an approach which is completely cavalier to the interests of Bahamians in their civil rights as guaranteed by the Bill of Rights."

Mr. Gomez said The Bahamas is in a "serious quandary" and slammed the attorney general, asserting that this so-called quandary "cannot be resolved by fudging the issue and sweeping things under the carpet, which is what the attorney general is trying to do."

His remarks follow the government’s quiet withdrawal of its appeal to Justice Lyons last week, which Dame Joan characterized as an attempt to make the issue "quietly go away."

Mr. Gomez said he is in full agreement with Dame Joan’s assertion that the Bahamian public’s faith in an independent judiciary has been completely shattered.

He pointed to the many recent retirements from the Supreme Court bench, including the January demission of Justice Norris Carroll, last week’s retirement of Justice Jeanne Thompson and the impending retirements of a number of Supreme Court justices.

He said the fact that Justice Lyons has apparently said that the government is trying to run him out of town – as he is reported to have said in a Tribune "Insight" article – in itself should cause alarm bells to be rung in sensible households.

Mr. Gomez charged that The Bahamas is also in a "judicial meltdown," saying that the government is paying no attention to improving the courts, which are required to complete the law and order process.

"This in 2007. This is a very serious issue," he said.

He said that without attention being paid to the court side of the law and order equation – which in his opinion it is not – the recent promotions on the police and defence forces, and impending promotions for prison officers, "look like an election gimmick."

"The police force has done a marvelous job. They are a force that we can be justly proud of," Mr. Gomez said. "But all that is for naught if, having apprehended the person, they cannot be justly tried.

I thought one of them said Dr. Perper was only allowed to search with certain keywords, etc. on the computers.

So if Sanchez claimed she gave Dr. Perper complete access to the computers she would be lying. I don't remember what her exact wording was. But she claimed that "she" allowed him access. But it seems the search warrant was limited. Wonder why?

Imho, the s_ _t really hit the fan with HKS when he found out that ANS was pregnant.

HK$ has not allowed Virgie to hold or see Dannielyn except for the funeral visit, where Virgie was not allowed to even touch her.

This is the human Howard. Wonder what the inhuman Howard is like.

No wonder Anna couldn’t stand him as a “man”. He ain’t a man, he’s a monster.

IMHO;)

BINGO!

IMHO that was when his extreme isolation power plan took hold.

He probably blocked all LB’s phone calls - emails - and explained to ANS that he, HKS, would not be able to continue his legal representation on the Marshall estate.

OMG he probably threatened to sue ANS for back pay - knowing she was bankrupt!!! That seems par for his course.

I just think he MAY BE in a data base SOMEWHERE and that’s why his family is so quiet.

Oh my. Oh my. You may have BINGO'D. It disrupts my thinking that as long as he doesn't do the DNA which will show he is not the father, the better chances of him retaining custody...IF LB's doesn't match.

No DNA Results In Anna Nicole’s Baby Test

By Quincy Parker

The parties involved in the three-way legal tussle for custody of six-month-old Dannielynn Hope, the daughter of the late American celebrity Anna Nicole Smith, were on alert on Tuesday, but anyone hoping to learn the results of a March 21 DNA test was let down, according to lawyers involved.
Dannielynn is the subject of a protracted and closely scrutinized legal tug-of-war involving Howard K. Stern – her presumptive father, whose name appears on her birth certificate; Larry Birkhead, another of Anna Nicole’s ex-lovers who claims to be the child’s father, and Virgie Arthur, Anna Nicole’s estranged mother.

The status hearing before Supreme Court Justice Stephen Isaacs went forward a day after Mr. Stern went to the Court of Appeal to try to block the publication of the DNA results.

However, after it became apparent that the appeal was bound to fail on Monday, Mr. Stern’s new lead attorney Damian Gomez conceded the point and withdrew the appeal.

On Tuesday, Mr. Gomez would only say as he emerged from the courtroom that the judge had made an order, and that the proceedings would continue next Tuesday afternoon.

Speculation is once again rampant that the DNA results will be revealed at that time.

..the Meth during her rehab. Surprised she didn't drop dead from that honestly.

I think Dannielynn was the one that was supposed to die that time.

I'm gonna google around and see if I can find more about Opri's bill which someone has said was a forgery.

Good Morn Sac! I'm way behind, but didn't they show Opris press release on the screen where she stated that all the things on her bill were "reasonable, appropriate" etc etc. No denial.

She does. Every so often I see a strong resemblance between mother and daughter there.
