Condolences to Brad Delp's family and friends.
This makes me very sad. I adored Boston.
I hear Boston was going to do a tour this year, and that Brad was going to get married in the middle of the tour.
R.I.P.
Nuts! They were/are my favorite group of my youth. RIP.
I wondered what happened. As I said, "More Than a Feeling" was the first song I learned on a guitar. I just played along with the previously posted youtube link with a 1973 guitar. RIP
Oh, man. Sad news. Good memories.
Most underated band of the 20th century.
Wow! Damn. Too young. Boston was and still is one of my favorite rock bands.
Somebody has to say it:
I guess now he has less than a feeling.
Okay, back to the condolences. It never shocks me when rockers die young. It only amazes me when they don't.
Well if my original thread was not considered front page material than can you at least restore it? RIDICULOUS to just take it down.
That's a loss and a half to RNR, the music industry, and especially the fans of Boston!!
Ping!
Wow, they pulled the entire thread?
Anyway, listening to "A Man I'll Never Be" from "Don't Look Back" right now. R.I.P Brad.
2 threads moved to chat! I guess the mod is not a music fan!
Back in the day, Boston was one of my favorite bands. Their sound was heavy yet at the same time refined and sophisticated and as someone else stated - great vocals.
He was in a bad accident in November...I wonder if a blood clot formed over time and got him?
Beatle Juice, New Englands Beatles tribute band, has postponed the concert scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 14 the Rochester Opera House because of injuries sustained by lead singer Brad Delp. Delp is also the lead singer for the band BOSTON.
John Muzzy, the spokesman for Beatle Juice released the following statement on November 26
Brad was in a motorcycle accident yesterday afternoon. He was coming over a hill and his brakes failed to stop him from going into a suddenly stopped car and to subsequently flip over the car.
The motorcycle ended up on his left leg and he sustained some injuries including many stitches and splinting of his left hand, loss of nail on his left foot and a fair amount of whiplash related injuries.
Brad wanted me to extend his deepest regrets in not being able to do the show this weekend and wanted me to assure you and the folks in Rochester that we would make every effort to make up this show ASAP. As you can imagine we are all relieved there was no life threatening injuries sustained.
Another memorable part of our youth is gone.
I guess the wait for that next album (remember that?) is going to be really, really long.
