Hewlett-Packard is closing custom deals for thousands of desktop PCs running Linux, which has the company assessing the possibility of offering factory-loaded Linux systems, an HP executive said.
"We are involved in a number of massive deals for Linux desktops, and those are the kinds of things that are indicators of critical mass. So we are really looking at it very hard," said Doug Small, worldwide director of open source and Linux marketing at HP. "We are in a massive deal right now for ... multi-thousands of units of a desktop opportunity for Linux. That's an indicator." He declined to give details about the Linux deals.

Still Americans, with better products.
As expected, little to no direct evidence. Especially showing any sort of allegiance to Microsoft, like communists show towards Linux.
As shown, terrorists prefer Windows. Talk to me again when they start seizing Linux boxes from terrorists.
Until then, "Windows, the operating system of choice for terrorists." Microsoft is enabling the terrorists.
FTR, I am again using your logic to achieve these absurd conclusions, not mine.
Now now... you can't expect trolls to be logically consistent, can you?
Besides, why he persists in calling Linux a UNIX clone, despite the fact that it isn't -- a fact that has been repeatedly pointed out to him -- is another story altogether.
It depends on the meaning. Pretty much anything that is POSIX compliant is sort-of a UNIX clone. In this aspect, even Windows is a UNIX clone. Anything that meets the UNIX specs isn't a clone, it's by definition real UNIX.
From what I know, Linux is mostly UNIX 03 compliant so certification of a version would be easy, but development moves so fast that it would be difficult to keep up with the certification.
Actually, all you've shown is they may have used it, but simply out of necessity, such as for "word processor capable of Arabic in 1997" (your own previous quote). It is altogether another thing to be a supporter of something, an outspoken advocate, as communist governments are of Linux. They even have their own versions, your shakey evidence that terrorists may have merely used Windows in no way compares in magnitude to entire governments like China, Cuba, Venezuela, North Korea, Iran, etc. backing Linux. To even claim it possibly could shows your dishonesty.
Who cares of it's foreign origin when it's the best product around?
Red hat has by far the best OS I've ever used.
As I already said, some of us have a bigger view of the world beyond our own selfish wants. Not that your foreign clone is equal, much less better, than the available American products anyway.
They did use it. Windows, the operating system choice of terrorists.
Another poster claims the best selling book on OBL says they use Macs.

Either way, simply using a product out of necessity is not the same as giving it your full endorsement, or creating a version of your own, as all communists governments do with Linux. Why you try to cover it all up is the only question.
OMG, terrorists prefer Macs! Apple, you horrible company!
They're Mac heads. Mac heads always try to get everyone to use Macs.
Oh, wait, wrong troll.
LOL!
linux, great!
but i will not buy another hewlett packard pos.
Naturally, I'm using Fedora. But it's essentially the same OS.
:-P
Unless IBM opens up AIX, I doubt I'll use it any time soon.
