Britney tries to hang self in rehab

London: Staff at the Promises clinic, where Britney Spears checked herself into last month, has been put on a ‘suicide watch’, after the singer reportedly tried to hang herself with a bed sheet.
Britney had friends and family worried sick when paramedics were rushed to the clinic recently, and now a friend has revealed that medics were called because she tried to commit suicide.
Just before she tried to hang herself, the pal said, Britney wrote 666 on her shaved head, and ran around the clinic screaming, "I am the Antichrist!" She is still very vulnerable.
Last Saturday she said she had the number 666 written onto her bald head. She was crying, and shouting, ‘I am the Antichrist!' The clinic people just didn't know what to do. Then she started screaming, ‘I'm a fake! I'm a fake!' It must have been really frightening," the News of the World quoted the pal, as saying.
"Later that night she tried to kill herself. She attached a sheet to a light and tied it around her neck. Paramedics were called, but luckily she was unhurt," the pal added.
A source at the clinic also revealed to the paper that Britney had realised what a ‘rock’ her estranged hubby was, and that she not only wanted them to get back together, but also to have another baby.

Aren't you being a bit too optimistic with 40-that's a long long way off for her.

I wouldn't be surprised if she WAS on Prozac and stopped taking it cold-turkey. That stuff can be REALLY hellatious on brain chemistry if not weaned off of it.

I wonder how much of her current breakdown is do to our “esteemed” media.
I have known a few women over the years that have had similar haircuts, and none were “crying for help”, drug addicted or psychotic. A couple even have tattoos and body piercing. Being unable to avoid Britney on the TV news at my favorite watering hole she was discussed for a few minutes. The consensus was that she was simply going for a new look.
But Britney, being a celebrity must pay attention to the articles about her. When she is continually bombarded with “experts” saying she’s flipped out she started to believe them - and had to act the part. It’s like the old thing of having half a dozen people tell you that you look sick, and soon you will be feeling sick. In her case, every media outlet told her she was a nutcase, so she became a nutcase.
Anna Nicole is in the ground. Natalie Holloway has faded from view. No new news on the "mysterious" death of that great Briton, the former princess Di. Whorealdo can't work hard enough to manufacture a race scandal out of the tornado in Enterprise, Alabama in spite of his best efforts. The dead people on the overturned bus were white Mennonites so no lasting story there.
Get ready for days of Fox News Alerts on the progress of loser Spears' rehab crisis. If she croaks, that's an added bonus. Maybe Virgie Arthur can show up and claim to be Spears' long lost mother from her 3rd or 4th marriage (or 29th or 30th shackup). Greta keeps her job.

I never really understood her popularity. I thought she lacked even rudimentary singing talent.
When she screamed I'm a fake! I'm a fake!' it sounded like she finally acknowledged it.
In the opening scene of the movie "Austin Powers - Goldmember" she has a cameo appearance. It is just awful and not funny at all. There she it, with that stupid headset microphone on, singing her electronically morphed warble and aping dance moves by Paula Abdul.
This demonstrates clear thinking and wise decision making on her part.
Maybe those 3 dead should have been on Prozac earlier.

Brooke Shields has offered up her help. I hope she can do something for Britney. I always liked Brooke and she has stayed sane considering her upbringing.
