Yes, I heard that too. And also they did not approve of him tauting Norbit when he was being interviewed after his nomination came out...wanted him to stick to promoting Dreamgirls.

Even if he ever does get another dream part like that, he will probably lose again as he walked out of the Oscars immediately after Alan Arkin's name was called. And the Academy does like sore losers..which is pretty fun cauz they love Gore and he is the definition of sore loser..lol...

Seems to be happening a lot lately. That's exactly the same reason Katie Holmes wasn't asked to come back for the "Batman Begins" sequel.
