I learned to drive in a pickup truck, so this is good. I mean, in a pinch, I can move things myself.

In fact, I may have to do that. I figure it will take three pickups to get what's left, and if I can't get the help I need, I'll do it myself. But it will take me three days, and I'll be really beat up...but then I can come here and complain about how bad life is to me, right?

I put some ice on it last night, and again this morning, but it looks like the bruise will show up tomorrow or the next day...it's pretty swollen for now. Not painful, unless I touch it.

I wasn't paying attention. I took a crock off some shelves that were taped together, and they fell forward. I was standing just far enough away that they hit just below my right knee, and just above the ankle.

The one under the knee is the one that is swollen. It could be cracked or chipped, but it really doesn't hurt. I just need to be more "aware." It was two hours before I could see to it, but still, it doesn't look too bad.

I know it's considered odd these days (when did THAT ever stop me?) but ours is but a double.

This was given to me by my daughter when they got their Sleep Number bed. At 5'9", I seem to stretch at night, and manage to use the entire bed, all by myself.

I used to have a king bed, but the sheets got too expensive. ;o]

Heh. I learned in a ca. '64 Volks bus. Discovered (all in one instant):
- You can shift a Volks bus from 2nd or 2rd gear, 25 MPH, directly into reverse
- A Volks bus stops really fast when you do that, and
- It's a REALLY good idea to wear seatbelts.

(This was about 3 years before my life was saved by a seatbelt I'd just installed in a car that had had none.)

I do too sometimes, when She Herself is not present. But most of the time half a double is more than plenty. When we travel, the kings just feel... wrong.
