Well, I've got about four or five others that I am sorta writing, in various stages of completion.
Reading is faster.

LOL!
How well I know! I'm trying to put my personal history into print. I did it in longhand, and I had no idea I had such a fun life! But re-doing it is tedious, at best.

The first step towards my learning to write was in encountering a text editor. For all it was intended for writing computer programs "online", I discovered it was a whole lot easier and less messy than pencil & paper. So in college I would write my papers with the text editor, print the final text out on "computer paper", then sit down in front of a typewriter to type the final paper.
It was only a very few years from that to "WordStar" word-processing.

Back to tree trimming...
Rottn's 2 rules for pruning a tree:
1. If it points inside, it cannot hide.
2. If it points to the ground, it has to come down.
So many branches.......

Rottn's 2 rules for pruning a tree: sionnsar's One Rule: Cut it off as low to the roots as possible.
I think that's why they don't let me prune trees. I don't understand -- it's quite effective, you usually only do it once.

WHOA! I learned on WordStar! WordStar was great! And not the impossible mess that Microsopht Word has become.
I just acquired the links to the BBC(?) documentary "The Great Global Warming Swindle" on YouTube, so I will be gone for a while...

Now if we could just get the effing media to support our troops. All the local news said today was that there were "anti-war" protesters in town. GAAAHHH!!
I bookmarked the Global Warming site.

Now if we could just get the effing media to support our troops. The climate of bias and dishonesty has become so fundamentally ingrained I have long since quit trusting them with anything.
I have scraps of amateur video of a politically-incorrect march in Seattle, day after Thanksgiving, 1991. Some 200 people showed up (can't verify the count but it's roughly correct). They had their permits and police escort (the latter shows in the video). A former state supreme court justice (hated by the libs) was to speak. I know it was going to happen but couldn't attend, so I tuned in the TV news afterwards.
Not a mention of the march! Instead, there was lavish attention on a half-dozen fur protesters right by the march's destination. I don't have a copy of the broadcast tape, but I could swear that a bunch of protest signs, not held by the fur protesters, had their text blurred in the TV footage.
And this was over 15 years ago. LONG before Dan Rather.
I don't support the press available here (other than the WSJ, though I look at the local biweekly rag that replaced the local daily, dead IMHO because she tried too much to be like her evil big sisters, the Seattle P-U and the Seattle Slimes).
I'd quit watching teeheevee "news" long before '91 because I'd already seen it was a waste of time, but after the aforementioned bout of dishonesty, engaged in also by the oh-so-correct Seattle print media, I was simply confirmed in that decision.

I've been on and off today. Watched 2 movies from Netflix and then my daughter called and wanted to go see "Premonition" with Sandra Bullock...
I wish I could just sit down and chat but lately I've been a little hyper, flitting here and flitting there...

One or two concerns in Episode 3: "Sources of CO2" is not quite accurately stated -- some things, like "autumn leaves," are recycling CO2 already in the atmosphere. He weakens his argument with this.

You know, I'd be happy with a few ounces. I'm not exactly bald, but I burn up top rather more readily than before.
(But with my luck it'd all go to the beard, which grows faster faster than anything else.)

5 lbs!! Well, it's been years since I last stepped on scales (don't want to break them, doncha know *\;-), but that seems like a high rate of gain. When did you last have the scales recalibrated?
