I want to go sit outside, too, but I have some things to do in here for now. *sigh*

Maybe later...anyway, enjoy it while you can. I know the weather there is not great, but it's what ya got!

Gonna be "hot" today. But at 87, it's still too cool for me to drag out the T-shirts and shorts! I'll wait till it's up to 95+ before I do that. At 110, it's just perfect for me!

Wish you were here! We could even get into trouble! LOL!

God bless you, 'Face, for that dose of the inimitable President Ronald Reagan; his turns of phrase are, at once, truthful and humorous; a refreshing combination.

If I can adjust my schedule to meet the requirements of my top-tier customers (that's the wife and kids), and still pull it off, I'll be able to go hear Mark Steyn speak at UC Berkeley tomorrow or Thursday night. Keeping my fingers crossed.

You're most welcome HK! It came to me twice today, so I must have needed it. Sometimes, things like that have the tendency to ground me when I would otherwise be unable to focus.

I think it was more like "two for me and one for you."

A four month "winter" is bad enough, even without snow.

Howdy, Girl!

We haven't seen much of you lately. I don't know about the rest of the UT'ers, but I miss you.

*wink-wink*

I have been occupied. :)

But I have a few minutes tonight so I thought I would drop in and see what was cooking on my favorite thread.

"Agriculture?"

I heard it was carpentry.

Lemme know when you have them installed.

I'm anxiously awaiting them!

If I didn't know better, I'd say that the band Within Temptation read something I'd written:
(I know they didn't!)
http://www.within-temptation.com/en/index.php?c=discography&sc=show_item&id=39
Within Temptation
Hand of Sorrow:

The child without a name grew up to be the hand
To watch you, to shield you or kill on demand
The choice he’d made he could not comprehend
His blood a grim secret they had to command

He’s torn between his honor and the true love of his life
He prayed for both but was denied

So many dreams were broken and so much was sacrificed
Was it worth the ones we loved and had to leave behind?
So many years have past, who are the noble and the wise?
Will all our sins be justified?

The curse of his powers tormented his life
Obeying the crown was a sinister price
His soul was tortured by love and by pain
He surely would flee but the oath made him stay

He’s torn between his honor and the true love of his life
He prayed for both but was denied

So many dreams were broken and so much was sacrificed
Was it worth the ones we loved and had to leave behind?
So many years have past, who are the noble and the wise?
Will all our sins be justified?

Please forgive me for the sorrow, for leaving you in fear
For the dreams we had to silence, that’s all they’ll ever be
Still I’ll be the hand that serves you
Though you’ll not see that it is me

So many dreams were broken and so much was sacrificed
Was it worth the ones we loved and had to leave behind?
So many years have past, who are the noble and the wise?
Will all our sins be justified?

Agriculture? Carpentry? Sewing?

I have Prevailed over the sewing machine, and it's stitching together a jumper at a reasonable pace, considering the distractions. Still not sure whether the jumper will fit anyone, though :-).

I have a skirt cut out, too.

I'm still working on that one project.
Kicking about the idea of using color still.
But I'm absolutely scared of messing up what I have complete so far.
(Impasse, the fear of every art inclined mind.)

Perhaps the singular advantage of computer assisted art. You can save in stages, and retreat from disaster.

Unfortunately for me, I'm a bit of a Luddite in that respect.
I'm still in the realm of old fashioned 'manual' labor, the Stone Ages of art.

That sounds like a good excuse to get pregnant again! Maybe you'll have a girl and she can grow into it!

(A piece of trivia: More baby boys are born in times of war than baby girls.)
