We’ve had so many threads by now, it forms its own display,
Just like a giant ball of string, that you can see one day.
But patterns are emerging, as each one gives a spin,
It takes some stepping back sometimes, to see the thing you’re in!

We’re weaving quite a tapestry, each of us in our part,
The warp and weft have crossed enough, by now it is an art.
The picture that we get from it, we few with distant views,
Is of a landscape celebrating life, in all its many hues.

The red of flags a-waving, and bunting on the porch,
And heartfelt tears of sacrifice, well-lit by Freedom’s torch.
With blue of longing, tears of hope, and tears of sad remorse,
As separations come along, and sometimes Life’s divorce,

The gold of patriotic fervor, and yellow ribbons tied,
The bright and shining hopes we had for all the ones who tried.
Whose efforts are a massive force, for Freedom’s wave to crest,
With dampened spirits left behind, by One Who knows things best.

Oh, yes, there is a pattern, it will be seen by all,
When sitting by the side of Someone standing very tall.
So as we go through life we dip and weave among the strands,
And trust the end we shuttle to to Someone Else’s hands.

Very hot and dry....very, very dry...

I can see the Anaheim Hills fire from my house. It's a few miles away, and I'm not in any danger, but since it's up in the hills, I have a clear view. We started to get a little bit of ash fallout, but the winds picked up blowing south of me, so we only got a little bit. I knew something was up this morning on the way to breakfast....we passed a long line of more than a dozen fire trucks headed to the fire on the freeway. Many really expensive homes in that area.

I think they will get a handle on it though, before it gets too far.

Wow, you are close.

I spent several years living down there in Aliso Viejo, Mission Viejo, and Tustin.

In case anybody's wondering ...

Many may assume that if "Global Warming" is true, that it would mean more fires.

Not so. It would mean more rain.

Well, you have to be patient anyway.

It took us eighteen thousand years to get this far from the last ice age. To melt the rest of the ice would take another ten thousand years.

So I guess the rule is, don't buy or build in a future flood area, or your Kilo-Grandchildren may be inconvenienced.

That's just common sense--higher temperatures means more evaporation off the oceans, which will necessarily mean more rain. But then again, Global Warming fails the common sense test when applied from almost any scientific angle, including the most basic one, that of thermodynamics.

There's simply too much to debunk on one post, and Monday mornings are already hard enough.

Depending on who you talk to, and what data sets you use, we are either past due for the next Big Ice Age, or it's still a few thousand years off.

I'm good with it either way. Humans adapt. We're good at it.

I thought my Kilo-Grandchildren are going to be living on another planet, or Flying Castle?

My kilo-grandchildren will take care of themselves.

With a mom/grandmom/kilograndmom like you, I'm sure they will be well equipped to do just that.
