February 27, 2007, TUESDAY, VISAGE
In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. Practice makes perfect.....post on....
Subbie Slip has her whip, handcuffs and legcuffs today. Tomorrow Im bringing in chains, so beware.

The rest of the stuff is locked up in my drawer. Im just letting all the new students know that we behave as if we were ladies and gentlemen in here. Those two words as if can get you an A if you make the subbie laugh.

Isn't this just the loveliest?
God gives every bird a worm, but he does not throw it into the nest.

Why thank you, Soaring Feather. I wrote this word down after hearing it on the TV. Hadn't heard it in here before.

'tis beautiful.
Funny thing Cyber and I were talking about worms last night.
I told Cyber Simba wanted out to get a bird who was trying his hardest to get a worm out of the backyard. Simba does not go outside unless he's on a leash.
Simba would probably get eaten by some BIG DOG, and we can't have that.
Then the BIG DOG would get eaten by a Puma.
Aren't we the silliest?

"Beautiful, NnB, and on your birthday, too!"
Actually, as shown by the date, that was almost on my antipodal birthday.
Now, this is on my birthday ...
Global Warming
Weve all been here before.
Too bad we dont remember,
When succulent fruits were plentiful,
In northern lands of December.
They fear the sunlight; this I fear,
Its not the warmth they dread,
But knowledge of a blessed Earth,
And people safely led.
The sanctuary of the heights,
And firmaments of faith,
Compel them to seek out the depths,
In shadows with their wraith.
Their efforts to sweep back the tide,
Will work, they sore believe it.
That wickedness gets washed away,
Their pride can not conceive it.
If we would only follow them,
They promise our salvation,
In downward spirals they propose,
But Hell is that direction.

Simba is well loved it seems
no diet for big dogs
a small worm will suffice a bird
and larger prey for the dog
but when it comes to Puma's
Lord, there ain't no help at all. ;)

"Simba would probably get eaten by some BIG DOG, and we can't have that.
Then the BIG DOG would get eaten by a Puma.
Aren't we the silliest?" I like to collect old books. I have one with an essay by E. B. White about the creator of Archy and Mehitabel, Don Marquis. They were both interesting fellows.
Somewhere in that book though, is a discussion of a sea bird that was found with a full belly. Inside that bird was another bird, and inside that bird was yet another bird. Amazing!

Soon you will be able to satisfy your voyeuristic desires to view the vile visage of the venerable (or venerial) ANS judge on CBS.

I think I need to soar today
I don't like being earth bound
I'll spread my wings heavenward
and listen for the sound
of wings a rustle in the breeze
as tiny bits of fluff float on
fluffy white clouds away up high
and tiny faeries play nearby
in the cove of moss, telling secrets
from the underground of nasty dirty trolls
You see, the faeries know the good the bad
the ugly lies that are told
They spread their cheer of goodness near
the ears of young and old.

You've got alliteration going there, Vastie. I think I'm going to skip the judge thing. I'm tired of their stupid findings.
A++++ for you!
