Yeah...we liked that too...and the end. Scorsese does stuff like that best. Remember Taxi Driver?

I thought it was terrific.
Not wanting to sound chauvanistic but not every girlfriend or wife is going to enjoy it.
The acting all around is phenominal...but look at the cast.
Two big thumbs up from me!

Not wanting to sound chauvanistic but not every girlfriend or wife is going to enjoy it.Sounds like a movie I'll have to see, it drives my wife bonkers every time she sees me watching Goodfellas.

Rent the orginial...it was a lot funnier with Arkin andPeter Falk. I just read Falk's autobiography (very good, btw) and he says wherever he goes people either yell out "Hey, Columbo!" or "Serpentine! Serpentine!" :)

Departed was a great film, reminded me of Kurosawa, and like it or not Leonardo is a good actor.
BTW, the HDTV broadcast is quite good, ABC usually screws these things up.

I know you are right that he will get a wild ovation when he wins.
Notice I didn't say 'if.'

I don't remember how it ends. Just the self interrogation in the mirror...."You talkin' to me?"
