So far, I think The Department has gotten the best press on this thread. Maybe I'll try to see it.

I think he should have popped one before he went up. Actually I do feel bad for people that are that nervous on stage. I'm like that.
To: Jrabbit
I didn't like it much. Warmed over and soulless. And overlong. See Infernal Affairs. The Taiwanese film it was a remake of.

What's the departed about? I'm totally clueless about most of these movies.

Stay with it...the first half is a bit slow.
Enjoy Jack's mastery of the role of Frank Costello.
The dialogue - superbly written.

Yes, they just showed Jack and his face was a mile wide. I didn't recognize him until he smiled. He's got that smile one cannot mistake.

She does look weird these days, doesn't she? She used to be so pretty. Hollyweird needs to learn how to age more gracefully
Trying to look 10 years younger is one thing .. but distorting one's face to try and look 20 years younger .. just makes them look fake and horrible

It's a police procedural. Lots of Baaw-ston atmosphere for what it's worth.

No the pendant Meryl is wearing is Egyptian - the two snakes on either side of the center medallion are uraea - the feathers on the heads of the snakes have a particular symbolism, but I cant remember what it is right now...but what she is wearing is definitely Egyptian
Alkhin, who enjoys studying ancient Egypt

Wow ... just saw Jack Nicholson for the first time tonight. All bloated and white. Cocaine is a helluva drug.
