Is it just me, or do others find it remarkable and maybe just a bit troubling that a thread on Anna Nicol Smith would gather over 15,000 posts?

I just don't "get" it.

It's disturbing. I saw the thread, but can't stomach reading any of it.

Amidst the circus there is a baby being treated exactly as she was intended by her mother, as the latest celebrity accessory. If the judge wasn't a obsessed media whore and blubbering moron he would have locked up the whole crew as accessories to child abuse.

Celebrity Worship is a disease that affects too many, even on Free Republic. I'm repulsed by media fascination over n'er-do-wells, actors, and whores.

Contrast that to the number of reads or replies to any of SandRat's posts on military heroes.
