Does it bother, puzzle, or amaze anyone else that the A.N. Smith thread has over 15k responses?

Is it just me, or do others find it remarkable and maybe just a bit troubling that a thread on Anna Nicol Smith would gather over 15,000 posts?
I just don't "get" it.

I dunno.
Does it bother you that you've spawned another?

Many agree with you. Just too much of a coincidence. Maybe there are a few who side with Stern such as that weepy Judge Larry Seidlin.
It was embarrassing seeing Judge Seidlin came unglued in a case that was obviously over his head. I just saw a rerun of a segment of Judge Seidlin's weeping and other antics and it was like watching a mentally ill person perform on the Gong Show.

I figure "ta" denotes one, and ta's means a pair, and since it is "belonging to" (ta's) would mean it is pluralNow, you see, I've always thought that each one was one tata.
Silly me.

Celebrity-tragi-culture is every where. And there's a big chunk on FR that are into it. Look how long the discussions about that chick that dissappeared in Aruba (Holloway, how that's spelled) went on, long after even Greta had lost interest in the story the discussion thread kept going.
I don't worry about it though. Everybody has their favorite sub-section of FR, and everybody has a sub-section they don't understand why anybody is interested in it.

every time I browse and see the numbers climb, I am amazed. One thing, tho .. is that it's been one of the few "disciplined" thread topics .. everyone seems to post at that one thread, as opposed to 300 threads on the same topic which is more common here.

Too bad Judge Seidlin forgot to take his meds. This case does show the need for periodic mental testing of judges. How did the creep every make it through law school?
To: bondjamesbond
If you have time, I'll tell you my thoughts on water heaters and the trouble I've had with them over the years. (Not necessarily with A.O. Smith, however.)
