^^^^^^^^^A tax is something everyone has to pay (even if indirectly) from their income by order of the government.^^^^^^^^^^
It's an accurate label if one is referring to Dell, where no alternative is currently offered. That may very well change though.

Dell is not the only firm selling computers in this country. You can buy computers from Apple, Walmart etc.
It's an inaccurate label no matter how you look at it.
That fact that you can't buy KFC fried chicken from Burger King doesn't mean you pay "taxes" when you buy fried chicken from KFC.
