Dell is not the only firm selling computers in this country. You can buy computers from Apple, Walmart etc.
It's an inaccurate label no matter how you look at it.
That fact that you can't buy KFC fried chicken from Burger King doesn't mean you pay "taxes" when you buy fried chicken from KFC.

I appologize for my poorly worded statement.
It's an accurate label if one is referring to Dell, where no alternative is currently offered at Dell.
Two words make a huge difference.
The word tax very much applies here. Look at how MS has set up their business. They run it very similar to how a government would. Monopolize everything, strong arm competition out, make everybody dependent on you, charge a superior price for an inferior product, the charged price is more often than not an underhanded one(a tax)......
