I just saw Kiran Chetry on CNN, what happened that she left Fox News
"who is Megyn pulling?"
Industry rumour is that she is "with" Brit Hume. It is also rumoured to be the reason why his wife has left her position at Fox.
>>>Industry rumour is that she is "with" Brit Hume. It is also rumoured to be the reason why his wife has left her position at Fox.<<<
Rumor circulated by those with ratings envy, and likely originating from a fired Fox staffer.
I don't believe Kiran's a diva. IMO she's a nice girl who wanted E.D.'s position when she left, was disappointed, and subsequently went elsewhere.
Ridiculous...For one thing, Kiran lives in NY, and Brit lives around the DC area.
Don't believe malicious news.
Kiran might be happy since she gets to have more than 1 hr of air time everyday at CNN.
This rumor refers to Megyn Kelly.
Do you think that Fox would make up the part about Chetry demanding that Carlson be fired? I think that Kiran has finally shown her true colors here. Still, I really wonder why a seemingly intelligent and fair-minded person (even though she's a lib) would be so stupid as to think that Roger Ailes was going to bow to her demands! I can't think of a more boneheaded move! I think that Kiran had lots of fans until this happened, and now all that anyone can think of is the fact that she threw a hissy fit to try and get her way and failed miserably.
We've only heard one side of the story. I watched Kiran for years and liked her. I wish her the best. Fox should just let it go.
And nice girls demand the firing of a fellow employee? It seems to me that the proper way for her to have handled this would have been to simply express her dismay of the situation to FNC, try to work out a civilized and ethical solution to the problem, and then seek other employment if a reasonable solution can't be found. This has done nothing but make Kiran seem like a self-centered bully who can't stand not having her way. It's too bad, because she is very talented and was always very good at being fair to conservatives while interviewing.
Chetry had had discussions with other networks but seemed closer to reupping with Fox News, sources said. But the negotiations, which lasted more than a month, ran aground late Thursday over a clause that Chetry wanted to include in the contract regarding the future of "Fox & Friends," the channel's morning show.
The source of the dispute seems a matter of interpretation, with Fox News saying that it would have led to them agreeing to fire the current co-host, Gretchen Carlson, and another source saying that it merely asked for written clarification of whether Chetry would become a "Fox & Friends" co-host and when. If that didn't happen by a certain date, then Chetry would have a window to exit her new contract.
"You and your client's unprofessional demand that we include a clause in her new agreement would have been detrimental to other Fox News talent (and) is simply not the way we conduct business," Fox News vp legal and business affairs Dianne Brandi wrote.
Fox News confirmed the authenticity of the memo, which first appeared on the TV Newser Web site. Ferriter, who represents Larry King and Ryan Seacrest, among others, declined comment. Chetry wasn't available for an interview Friday....
*snip*
Klein declined comment about the turn of events on Fox, saying that the story for him was that CNN was getting a talented anchor. "The fact that it probably annoyed them is just icing on the cake," Klein said.
We have no proof of that. Good night.
The only source for all this is a leaked letter once FNC knew she was gone. To my knowledge Kiran or her agent have not commented. I like FNC, but, I don't have to guzzle Aile's kool-aid non-stop.
Kiran doesn't have to comment, I mean, she's got her dream job over at the Commie Lib News Network with all of her liberal friends. She must be living in paradise.
Is your employer a staunch conservative?
I know nothing about my employer's politics.
Look, I'll give Chetry some kudos for keeping her liberal views hidden much of the time at FNC, but when she jumped ship for CNN, she pretty much endorsed the anti-America, pro-abortion and pro-gay agenda that the network fills the airwaves with. She used to sit around on F&F and talk about the liberal media bias with her co-hosts, and now it's quite interesting that she's become a willing participant in the spread of this garbage.
And, what's happened to Lauren Green of F & F?
Katy, Texas....
As a man, why even bother with the news business if you can't help yourself to the female "talent" (ROTFLMAO).
It's one of the best perks, IMO!
Just remember to marry a forgiving wife, because, well, flying dishes hurt! :(
