I just saw Kiran Chetry on CNN, what happened that she left Fox News
We work for pintos here. Buncha gasbags.
Ditto.
Actually.. Lauren has been named the Religion Correspondent.
E.D. would be a perfect replacement for Katie Couric -- if CBS would let E.D. be the plain-spoken Texan she is.
....give it up sister....ain't gonna happen!
She was the hottest babe on FOX...damn not good way to start the morning.
Tiki is now working for CBS as a sports commentator and "Today" Show correspondent.
E.D. is not liberal enough for CBS. How would it look if E.D. was liked more than perky liberal Katie? /s
Lauren Green is now FOX's religious correspondent. I miss seeing her beautiful eyes reading the news.
You're getting Geraldo Rivera and Chris Knowles mixed up.
She has an annoying cackle.
The folks over at CNN and MSNBC are lucky they aren't reporting on the Korean War. They'd be in a heap of trouble for breaking the censorship rules which were put in place under the Truman Administration, 6 months after the onset of the Korean War.
The censorship rules placed the correspondents under military jurisdiction and threatened them with courtmartial. Correspondents could not send dispatches which were demoralizing and could not criticize the Allied conduct of the Korean War. Correspondents could not quote officers without authorization and could not reveal causalties until their official publication. [more rules can be found at the link right above]
There would have been little spare time to report other news if CNN announcers decided to read the daily lists of the names and ages of Americans who died in Korea.
621 Americans who fought in Korea, died on November 28, 1950. 781 Americans died on November 30, 1950
Within the first six months of the Korean War, Wolf Blitzer, Jack Cafferty, Lou Dobbs, or some other announcer would have found it necessary to read about 14,000 American names.
Would they newsfolk have been all atwitter on November 30th when Truman's hint that he would use the A-bomb
The Iraq War is a lot like the Korean War
except,
in 2007, we have a Republican president, 10% of the deaths, and an uncensored press..
Otherwise amicable deals are destroyed by agents/lawyers all the time .. in sports/media/publishing/entertainment. Looks like she became her agent's pawn, so he could show off how big, powerful and important he is. She should have dumped him. Actually, I've always liked her and thought she was one of the most beautiful of the Fox news women. I just don't like her or anyone enough to ever watch CNN. Too bad.
ED moved to anchor her own show later in the AM. i don't know for sure, but figured she wanted to get her kids off to school before coming in. Not sure with the most RECENT switchup [with bill hemmer and megyn kelly at 9, taking over for Jon Scott and him moving to a later time] where ED is now, but it is later AM at some point, i thought like maybe 10 or 11 and then led into bill hemmer's slot.
He was on Bonanza, but that went off the air.
Maybe Kiran wanted the spot with Hemmer but lacked Megyns "pull" at FNC.
Oh good to know. I am not a morning show person, so I have never had the "pleasure" of stumbling across it.
I did get to see Kiran over at CNN though, while I was channel surfing. Seemed she was having a slight problem with the name of the show. Making that adjustment. That would be the ultimate funny... saying Fox on CNN.
lacks some of her brains too! though it kills me to hear megyn say stuff like 'i have been practicing law more years than i care to admit', how the heck OLD is she? she can't be more than early thirties, to that hardly makes her a grizzled old legal hand!
I was talking about Kiran's husband the weathercaster Chris Knowles. Sorry if I was unclear.
Kiren was my favorite on FNC.
Don't care of it is CNN, as soon as I find out the CNN time slots on which Kiren will appear, I'll be watching her.
Kiren is very easy on the eyes and she always seemed more "aware" than ED, Gretchen, etc.
