Le Batard took Hardaway to task, pointing out that his comments were 'flatly homophobic' and bigoted, but that only seemed to stir up the former point guard. "Well, you know, I hate gay people," Hardaway said in response to Le Batard. "I let it be known I don't like gay people. I don't like to be around gay people."

The bottom line is that blacks on the average tend to be more anti-gay than whites. In fact this is the big dilemma the Democratic Party faces, in that if they try to push Gay Marriage too much, they could turn off a lot of black voters, who tend to be much more socially conservative.

I'm willing to bet that Mr. Hardaway has been showering in the locker room with more "closet" gays than he could even imagine... maybe its better knowing who you can and cant bend over in front of.
As far as his comments are concerned...I care that he's homophobic about as much as I care that there are gay basketball players. He needs to grow up.
