This is how African women dress when they dress up.

We had several Nigerian families in our church in Tulsa, and they had magnificent clothes for Sunday ... satin and sequins, tassels and turbans.

It was a such a pleasant change from the jeans, shorts, and mini-skirts worn by some of the locals.

I did not realize that Barry's mother was dead, but I do wonder where the white grandparents who raised him in Hawaii are, and where the white members of his maternal clan are in all of this hype. I'd also like to hear more about the Indonesian Muslim stepfather who spent more time with Barry than his Nigerian Muslim bigamist father did.

I wish I had a screen capture of Barry and "Strong Black Womyn" being interviewed on "60 Minutes". He was practically cowering behind SBW on the sofa as she spouted her racist drivel. I am appalled that the entire one half of this man is completely hidden away like a dirty little secret. Barry is a black man, so he could get shot at the gas station? Barry doesn't strike me as the kind of guy who is pumping his own gas at some QuikMart in da 'hood.

What an outrageous phony! At least this is one thing to be glad for during the unrelenting punishment of non-stop political campaigning....Barry Obsama is TRULY the face of the Dems. Messed up beyond repair and bragging about it!

The African adults have a pretty low opinion of black Americans, probably for the same reason that some of the less intelligent African kids have a high opinion of them: the prevalence of hip-hop/rap videos in the refugee camps. It's not surprising that the kids who are the most illiterate, racist, and lazy are also the ones who like the whole rap scene the most.

Thera are many things that are confusing.
1. His father was already married when he married his mother. A bigamist. Making Obama illigitimate?
2.Where were his stepfather and his mother while his Grandparents were raising him in Hawai?
3. If he was raised by his white grandparents why has he denied his white culture and gone black.
4. Why did he join an alleged Christian church that appears to be racist?
5. Where are his white granbdparents now. Are they alive?
6. This man was raised like white gentry and sent to yale. How does this make him attractive to black voters.
7, His speeches seem to be well-worn platitudes, not brilliant original thoughts.

I am concerned about Obama's candidacy because of his leftist political views, not because of his grandmother's wardrobe.

I wanted to bump this thread because it's almost exactly a year old...I also wanted to post this picture from this week...and this seemed as good a place as any.

Barack Obama won 13 states, and his 86-year-old grandmother -- Sarah Hussein Obama -- appeared to be thrilled at her home in Kogelo, Kenya. Even the chicken looks happy.
