QUESTION FOR DISCUSSION - Are Rudy and Mitt in a battle for the anti-McCain crowd? Or are Mitt and McCain duking it out to be the STOP RUDY candidate?

the remotest chance of being elected President.
Plenty of people said that Clinton would never get elected either. Just some unknown hillbilly...

In February 1991 Bill Clinton was a virtual unknown....
In February 1975 no one gave Jimmy Carter any chance at all.....
There's a long way to go in the Presidential race, and Hunter has as good a chance as anyone right now. What he needs to do is (1) raise money, lots of it and (2) keep getting himself on the TV and in the media.

California Democrats just decided to move the primaries forward, to increase the state's impact on the election.
This could *greatly* help Duncan Hunter, who's a local.
I think he could win.
PS: Anyone know where FReepers can get their ride a Duncan Hunter bumper sticker?

You'd think by now you'd learn how to spell "Giuliani", chief. Honestly.
It was a good vanity, however.
Some of your points I agree with, but unlike others, I haven't committed to anyone yet.
We'll see how it all shakes out, hmm?
To: rodomila
I have always thought that Duncan Hunter was really running for President so that he could be a realistic nominee for Vice President.
Giuliani or Romney will need a running mate that settles the social conservatives down, while still being well spoken and principled.
Hunter is not the only potential guy for this - Brownback and Huckabee and others might fill this bill also.

I can't understand why so many of you waste your time with Duncan Hunter fantasies. Because he is a good man, a good conservative and has a right to run in the primaries just as another other candidate does
That is what the Primaries are about .. and let the best man win
Or so I thought that was what it was all about

Thank you for opening my eyes.
I have spent WAY too much time deciding for myself.
It's time for a cool change and let someone else decide for me.

I used to think Free Republic was a site with mostly rational people. Yup, the same FR consensus that has DH as a viable candidate were several months ago veritable nostradamus's, with nearly 80% predicting GOP retention of both the House and Senate, and a mere 7% correctly predicting the eventual outcome.
