Tracks show the wolves apparently chased the horse from a pasture into a corral and killed it.

Are there still herds of wild horses roaming the White Sands National Monument?
To: george76
If it was a human, these feral animals would have killed and eaten them also.
Protected feral animals deserve SSS!
Shoot.
Shovel.
Shut up.

[Miller says his family has tried yelling at the wolves, throwing rocks and installing noisemakers, but he says the pack continues to be a problem.]
Try poisoned bait.

WTF has happened to Catron County? That used to be a place where the feds were scared to move at night, fer chrissakes! I'd've thought that wolf would be wormfood once it was spotted.

Was this story put under "immigrantlist" because they are *Mexican* wolves? Seems an odd place for it to be.

There's a REASON they call them "Mexican" wolves.
Just like the "Canadian" lynx they're trying to "re introduce".
West of town here there's a "game preserve" where wolves were injected into the mix. There USED TO BE thousands of elk in the area. Now....maybe a couple hundred. Wiped 'em out in about 4 or 5 years. Ran the rest off.
Yep, we really NEEDED those wolves all right...!!!

Sorry, can't get the links to open.
Was the attack on the horse witnessed?
