Anna Nicole Smith collapsed in her hotel room at the Hard Rock Cafe and Casino in Hollywood, Fla., and was rushed to a hospital on Thursday. A Hollywood, Fla., fire department spokesman told MSNBC TV that the actress was unresponsive when the rescue unit arrived on the scene.
Sources confirmed to Access Hollywood that Smith was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital shortly after 2 p.m. EST on Thursday. Access Hollywood also is reporting that Smith was intubated at the scene.
Officials told the Miami Herald, "it does not look good."
Well I tell you, I remember saying to my brother a few years back that I wouldn`t be suprised in the least if she died of an OD, and here we are. The same goes for Lindsay Lohan who in my opinion is another Dana Plato, Lindsay in the same way has been in a downward spiral for the past few years and in my opinion her next step is death.
Yet what can you do? You can`t do anything but pray for these people. They come from weak family backgrounds and they have nobody to help straighten them out, and the media doesn`t help. The media makes them think they are super human when in reality they`re addicts no different from the local bum who sleeps in the street. They`re just bums with money, that`s the only difference. You can`t do anything for them but pray, and one shouldn`t be prayed for more than the other just because of fame.
are you serious? I did tell my husband a few months ago that she was going to end up dead young because she would not be able to deal with her son's death, but nothing so recent as today... what made you think that today?
I'll give you stripper, centerfold and poor role model. Can't agree with gold digger, bcse the man she married was a sentient being and saavy businessman who met her in a strip club. He knew full well what she was and he went in with his eyes wide open.
As for the rest of your post, the compassion expressed by some on this thread has nothing to do with her looks. I, personally, make a distinction between those whose destructiveness is borne out of malevolence and those whose destructiveness is borne out of weakness and stupidity. I'd rather save my contempt for the true scum of this world, not some dumb bimbo who lacked the smarts or wherewithal to rise above the circumstances of her life.
No kidding - he knew what he was doing, they were married for like 18 months and she obviously made him happy - the old guy should've been allowed to give his money to whomever he wanted to! Geesh he was worth like a billon dollars, I doubt his son and heirs would have been left stretching to pay the gas bill................

Smith's boyfriend, Howard K. Stern, was with her when she died and has reported to Entertainment Tonight that her temperature was running high the night before. The cause of her death was an over dosage of sleeping pills. She had taken an entire bottle of 800mg sleeping pills, knocking her out unconscious a few minutes later. Her bodyguard rushed in from a snack break and found her lying on the ground unconscious and performed pointless CPR on her because she had already died.[19][20][21][22]

Just cleared that one up.. Stern, the bodyguards AND the nurse had gone to pick up the boat... the boat was going to be taken back to the Bahama's.... wanna bet Stern is on that boat on the way to get that baby?

This means that she has gone to face the only judge that really matters. He doesn't need your help in sorting things out, and is FAR more aware of A.N.Smith's failures and rebellions than you will ever be.
Another way of saying it is that you should exhibit some restraint and fear God yourself, since you will, as will I, shortly face the same Maker and judge as she.
Ms. Smith was at one time a beautiful child who brought joy to someone. That she squandered the treasure of the image of God within her and became very very ugly is not something I have ever heard challenged. However, there is a reason why in the past, folks did not speak ill of dead people. I think the above is that reason. My opinion is that we should recycle that idea.
Uh, if a nurse was with her, as well as Stern, then why in the world would they let her take all those pills???? And if neither of them saw her take them, then how do they know it was an OD? Wiki. Crap.
May God rest her soul. I feel terrible for her little baby girl. If Larry Birkhead is indeed the father, I hope he gets custody and raises her far away from the limelight.
