NEW YORK — For most women, the choice between sex and a new wardrobe is simple — they go for the clothes.
Women on average say they would be willing to give up sex for 15 months for a closet full of new apparel, with 2 percent ready to abstain from sex for three years in exchange for new duds, according to a new survey of about 1,000 women in 10 U.S. cities.
Sixty-one percent of women polled said it would be worse to lose their favorite article of clothing than give up sex for a month. Nearly half of the women, or 48 percent, taking part in the survey by consumer products giant Unilever said their favorite article of clothing was more reliable than their man in giving them confidence and making them feel sexy.
"Some people say clothes make the man, but the right clothes can even replace him," fashion designer, stylist and TV personality Carson Kressley from the reality TV show "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" said in a statement accompanying the poll.
The survey, which was not scientific and was conducted online, also suggested that ...

Why do all those insecure women need clothes to make them feel sexy? I can feel sexy without any clothes.

What kind of sacrifice is that? Women would give up sex for a tic tac.

Not disputing you...just another point of view.
Women, 87.5%, use sex to get what they want: children, new clothes, car, security, house, etc. Once they have these wants satisfied, they experience a sudden loss of interest in sex. Always an excuse or blame the man for not meeting her emotional needs.
I have been married over 23 years. I only remain so because being alone, for me, is worse than no sex (and I am NOT splitting my 401K). Now if I could just find a woman in the remaining 12.5%. These women love sex, with their man, and do not use it as a "reward" but something to be shared between the two.

There are 2 tactics I like to use sometimes. Number 1 is forget about sex for as long as your wife doesn't mention it, no cuddling no sexual advances. Its wild to see the tension mount on the wife's side. I guess she's so used to advances she gets real worried about you.
Number 2: demand it and check out her response. Its fun and puts things in perspective.
