This my sound sad to say to his fans, but I remember him mostly for two songs, both theme songs:
"Blazing Sadles" and "Sherrif Lobo", both of which were a bit on the silly side. But, c'mon, how inspired is a lyric like "He made his Blazing Saddle a torch to light the way!" It makes no sense and yet it sounds like a proud anthem!

Didn't he also sing "The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance" or do I have him confused with someone else?

Move 'em on, head 'em up
Head 'em up, move 'em on
Move 'em on, head 'em up
Rawhide
Count 'em out, ride 'em in,
Ride 'em in, count 'em out,
Count 'em out, ride 'em in
Rawhide!
Keep movin', movin', movin'
Though they're disapprovin'
Keep them dogies movin'
Rawhide!
Don't try to understand 'em
Just rope, throw, and brand 'em
Soon we'll be living high and wide.
My hearts calculatin'
My true love will be waitin',
Be waitin' at the end of my ride.
Rawhide!
Rawhide!
Rest in peace at the end of your ride, Mr. Laine. Many of my melodic memories are thanks to you!

Frankie Laine was married for many years to Nan Grey of The Invisible Man Returns fame. They also produced TV shows and Grey was in several segments of Rawhide. She predeceased him.
