This has to be the absolute WORST political campaign commercial ever made. It is so bad that it is HILARIOUS. Absolutely nothing in this commercial works. Not even the incredibly DOPEY song at the end.

I would note that it's a Democrat ad, for Adlai Stevenson, and meant to make Eisenhower look too dangerously "right wing" by association with Taft.

It's a bit of Dem gay-bashing, if you will.

Uh, you are aware that this was a campaign ad for the opposition, right? This wasn't put out by "Ike and Bob". If anything, gays would say it's homophobic - trying to scare Americans by insinuating that the 2 were gay lovers and that there was something wrong with that.
